Objective:
to verify the application of the Merleau-Pontyan perspective on the physical and psychological implications of chronic venous ulcers in the existence of people who experience the disease.
Method:
a qualitative study, of the descriptive phenomenological type, developed with 36 patients. The field of investigation was the Outpatient Clinic of Wound Repair of the Hospital Universitário Antônio Pedro. The collection occurred from June to December 2016, through a phenomenological interview.
Results:
the experiences inherent in people who have venous ulcers pass through the world and “return” to the body itself, reflecting on the biopsychosocial aspects and the sensitivity left on the being.
Conclusion:
the biological characteristics of the subject affected by the venous ulcer have repercussions on their physical aspect, promoting influences along with the emotional and social changes originating from the clinical picture on the social aspects and consequently reverberating on the quality of life of this individual.

Objective:
To understand the experience of adults living with cystic fibrosis.
Method:
A qualitative study based on the social phenomenology by Alfred Schütz, carried out with 12 adults interviewed in 2016. The statements were analyzed and organized into concrete categories.
Results:
The following categories were evidenced: “The biopsychosocial impact of the disease on daily life”, “Social prejudice as a generator of embarrassment”, “Coping strategies” and “Fear, uncertainties and the desire to carry out life projects”.
Final considerations:
The understanding of the experience lived by adults with cystic fibrosis allowed unveiling intersubjective aspects experienced by this public that should be considered by health professionals in the care of this group. It is up to the professionals involved in assisting these people to develop care strategies aimed at completeness, respect for the world of meanings of each individual, their life history, and intersubjectivity that is specially built in the relationship between professionals and people with cystic fibrosis.

Objective:
to assess the impact of protocol home visits on the functional capacity of adult and elderly patients with venous ulcers, before and after guidance received at home.
Method:
clinical experimental, randomized, nonblinded and controlled study, developed with 32 patients (case and control groups). Fields of research were the Wound Outpatient Care Unit of the Antônio Pedro University Hospital and households of patients treated in the outpatient unit. Data collection occurred from February to June 2014, by means of an assessment tool of the health care unit, the TINETTI index and a script for directions to be provided to study participants who received home visits.
Results:
participants in the case group showed significant and differentiated improvement post-intervention when compared to the control group, which remained stable.
Conclusion:
directions provided in the home context were beneficial to the members of the case group.
