Objectives:
to map the available evidence on resources used to promote health literacy among caregivers of prematurely born children during outpatient follow-up.
Methods:
the Joanna Briggs Institute’s scope review protocol was utilized. The search encompassed six databases, incorporating studies from 2012 to 2022.
Results:
the three included publications revealed that the resources employed are: mobile applications, phone calls, individual counseling, videos, educational pamphlets, and group discussions. Implementing an education protocol during the transition home enhances scientifically grounded health promotion rates.
Conclusions:
there is limited literature addressing the health literacy of these caregivers. The nursing team plays a crucial role in health education and in developing resources applicable to these families.

Objective:
to assess the Chronic Care Model implementation in Specialized Outpatient Care and its repercussions for health care.
Methods:
qualitative evaluative research, conducted by the Chronic Care Model. We used observation techniques, document analysis and interviews with 21 health professionals from specialized care. Analysis was conducted by triangulation, with the aid of MAXQDA software for initial and focused coding. All ethical aspects were respected.
Results:
professionals recognized that the model reorganized service care and administrative practices, presenting positive repercussions for the health of people assisted. The absence of continuing education for service professionals compromised the complete model implementation.
Final considerations:
the implementation, even if partial, of the model brings contributions to service improvement. The weaknesses that are still present are compatible with professionals’ difficulty in distancing themselves from the biomedical model.

Objective:
to analyze the relationship between affective and sexual experiences and the intensity of physical and psychological symptoms of older adults.
Methods:
observational, cross-sectional and analytical study, guided by the STROBE tool, carried out in a geriatric outpatient clinic. Sociodemographic and health questionnaire, Affective and Sexual Experiences Scale for Elderly, Edmonton Symptom Assessment Scale were used. Descriptive statistical analysis and Spearman correlation were performed.
Results:
forty-five older adults participated, with a mean age of 73.8 years; most (91.1%) were married. The highest averages of symptom intensity were pain (4.9), anxiety (4.8), drowsiness (4.5), and a feeling of well-being (4.5). There was a negative correlation between sadness and the dimensions of sexual activity and affective relationships (rs=-0.365; p=0.014 and rs=-0.386; p=0.009) and between anxiety and sexual activity (rs=-0.308; p=0.040).
Conclusion:
as sadness increases, affective and sexual experiences are less. The greater the anxiety intensity, the lower the sexual experiences.

Objectives:
to identify predisposing and enabling factors as well as the health needs associated with the discontinuance of outpatient follow-up of newborns who were hospitalized at neonatal intensive care unit.
Methods:
cross-sectional study, using the behavioral model of health services use. The study was composed of 358 mothers and newborns referred to the outpatient follow-up after discharge. Characterization, perception of social support, postnatal depression, and attendance to appointments data were collected, analyzed by the R software (3.3.1).
Results:
outpatient follow-up was discontinued by 31.28% of children in the first year after discharge. In multiple regression analysis, the chance of discontinuance was higher for newborns who used mechanical ventilation (OR = 1.68; 95%CI 1.04-2.72) and depended on technology (OR = 3.54; 95%CI 1.32-9.5).
Conclusions:
predisposing factors were associated with the discontinuance of follow-up; enabling factors and health needs did not present a significant association. Children with more complex health conditions require additional support to participate in follow-up programs, thus ensuring the continuity of care.

Objective:
To understand the perception of cancer patients in palliative care about quality of life and identify propositions for its improvement.
Method:
This is a quantitative research carried out with 96 patients in palliative care, admitted in a public hospital from March 2015 to February 2015. The interviews were transcribed and analyzed by the methodology Discourse of the Collective Subject.
Results:
Quality of life was tied to meanings of health, well-being, happiness and spirituality; however, family and financial problems also had an impact on the perception of the construct. Interventions aimed at the relief of suffering, possibility of return to work and resolution of problems had suggestions for improvement.
Conclusion:
The results indicate that the concept of quality of life is subjective, tied to personal values and influenced by the repercussions of the health-disease process. In addition, they can guide actions based on interdisciplinary assistance aimed at the real needs of these patients.

Objective:
to determine the prevalence of adherence to medication therapy in elderly outpatients; to verify whether there is an association between medication therapy adherence and demographic and socioeconomic factors, health conditions.
Method:
a quantitative, exploratory, descriptive, cross-sectional study, performed in outpatient clinics of a university hospital in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Three data collection instruments were answered by a convenience sample of 107 elders. A descriptive and inferential statistical analysis was conducted.
Results:
the prevalence of adherence was 86.9%. A statistically significant association was identified between the adherence variable and receiving medical guidelines on how to take medications, and having adverse reactions. Conclusion: Nurses must know the prevalence of medication adherence and related factors in order to plan interventions that promote therapeutic success.
Conclusion:
Nurses must know the prevalence of medication adherence and related factors in order to plan interventions that promote therapeutic success.
