Objectives:
to evaluate the quality of Primary Health Care attributes according to the characterization and perspective of women of reproductive age.
Methods:
descriptive, quantitative, cross-sectional study, with 397 women of reproductive age from six municipalities in the 16th Health Region of the state of Paraná, with variables for sociodemographic characterization and the Primary Care Assessment Tool (PCATool).
Results:
mean age, 30.43 years old, most were married, 70.2% worked outside the home and 55.5% had completed high school. The highest average score of the eight domains evaluated was “Family Guidance” and “Coordination - Integration of Care”, with averages of 5.86 and 4.89. Domains “Integrality - Services Provided” and “Community Orientation” had lower averages (3.32 and 3.76).
Conclusions:
the study allowed tracing the characterization of the participants and identifying that the attributes of Primary Care are unsatisfactory, making it necessary to expand access to the services offered and to qualify the comprehensive care for women’s health.

Objective:
to evaluate the satisfaction of users of a service that specializes in diabetes mellitus.
Method:
evaluative research, with mixed approach, developed at the Integrated Center for Diabetes and Hypertension of Barbalha-CE, in the period from 2011 to 2014, with 97 users. Data concerning the characterization and satisfaction of users in relation to the dimensions of infrastructure, accessibility and the user-health team relationship were collected.
Results:
77.3% were older adults, 88.7% women and 84.8%, retired. 63.9% of the users were satisfied with the service; however, dissatisfaction with the dimensions of infrastructure (offices, equipment and medicines) and accessibility (laboratory tests and medical consultations) was reported.
Final considerations:
most users revealed be satisfied with the service received considering the dimensions analyzed. However, studies that assess the satisfaction of users need to contemplate the participants’ reports and not rely on the use of previously structured forms only.

Objective:
To characterize cancellations of elective surgeries according to clinical and non-clinical reasons, as well as to verify seasonal influence and determine the estimated reduction of the index.
Method:
Quantitative, descriptive and retrospective study with secondary data extracted from the Public Hospital of the State of São Paulo database.
Results:
Out of the 8,443 (100%) elective surgeries scheduled, 7,870 (93.21%) were performed and 573 (6.79%) were canceled. Out of these 573 (100%) people, 48.33% were canceled for clinical reasons and 46.40% were for non-clinical reasons. Among the non-clinical reasons for surgery cancellations, those related to medical reasons stood out: at the request of the surgeon/change of approach (17.93%), followed by non-hospitalized patient (8.96%). There was no indication of seasonality regarding the reasons for cancellation in the assessed period.
Conclusion:
Although the rate of elective surgeries cancellations is lower than that of other hospitals with similar characteristics, it is still possible to reduce it from 6.79% to 1.36%, considering that 80% of the reasons for cancellation are avoidable.
