Objective:
To analyze the critical alarms predictors of clinical deterioration/sepsis for clinical decision making in patients admitted to a reference hospital complex.
Methods:
An observational retrospective cohort study. The Machine Learning (ML) tool, Robot Laura®, scores changes in vital parameters and lab tests, classifying them by severity. Inpatients and patients over 18 years of age were included.
Results:
A total of 122,703 alarms were extracted from the platform, classified as 2 to 9. The pre-selection of critical alarms (6 to 9) indicated 263 urgent alerts (0.2%), from which, after filtering exclusion criteria, 254 alerts were delimited for 61 inpatients. Patient mortality from sepsis was 75%, of which 52% was due to sepsis related to the new coronavirus. After the alarms were answered, 82% of the patients remained in the sectors.
Conclusions:
Far beyond technology, ML models can speed up assertive clinical decisions by nurses, optimizing time and specialized human resources.

Objective:
to know innovative pedagogical experiences developed by professors in the teaching of psychiatric nursing and mental health in undergraduate nursing courses at public universities in Rio de Janeiro State.
Method:
based on an ethnomethodological approach, individual semi-structured interviews and document analysis were carried out according to content analysis.
Results:
despite the heterogeneity in the curriculum distribution of psychiatric nursing’s and mental health’s knowledge, the themes taught have similarities. The perceptions of innovation are mainly related to interdisciplinary practices and teaching, relational, and care technologies. Innovative teaching practices are focused on the use of active methodologies and collaborative activities.
Final considerations:
innovating teaching requires creating strategies to teach people how to care for people, valuing human uniqueness. Student participation in health services is the key to the dialogue between knowledge produced in academia and that mobilized in health services.

Objectives:
Reporting the experience of health education regarding Aedes aegypti in the Federal District.
Methods:
This is a case report, with descriptive approach, about the experience of nursing practice with education actions against the Aedes aegypti in communities of the Federal District, carried out between 2015 and 2018. Subjects of the research were undergraduate students in nursing, healthcare professionals, and the community.
Results:
There have been 24 educational interventions against Aedes aegypti, adapted to the needs of each population, using a “giant” sculpture of the mosquito, theater performances, lectures, booklets, and home visits.
Conclusions:
The project trained teachers, healthcare professionals, graduate students in nursing, and the community through the empowerment of this population, aiming at combating the Aedes aegypti vector.

Objective:
to build municipal responsibility with the permanent education in health policy from the interaction between research and innovation of work practices.
Method:
experience reports structured through dialogic meetings that allowed the participative diagnosis and strategic administration considering research in health education.
Results:
from the activities and interactions, we identified active forces in the reinvention of training for workers in the municipal network of health services, in which we found three streams: “inside and outside interactions”, “movement towards meetings” and “strategic collective arrangements”.
Final considerations:
through action research and a collaborative critique, collective movements were constructed, they showed ways to produce new directions in health education and allowed the strategic creation of the Núcleo de Educação Permanente as a responsibility of the municipal government, not depending on Federal policies.

Objective:
determine the benefits of the Portable Bathtub as technology for bed bath in bedridden patients.
Method:
qualitative research of exploratory-descriptive character, whose data were collected by means of 30 interviews with patients, family members and professionals directly involved in bed bath, carried out with Portable Bathtub, in bedridden patients of a medical clinic, from July to December 2015.
Results:
from the data encoded by thematic content analysis resulted two categories: Portable Bathtub: from morphine to the patient's rekindled eyes; From mechanized practice to unique, transforming care.
Conclusion:
we concluded that the Portable Bathtub constitutes enhancing technology, as it enables clinical improvement of the patient's general condition and transcends traditional mechanized practices by the reach of advanced nursing care practices.

Objective:
to characterize non-conventional technologies used for data collection of dissertations and theses available in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations (CEPEn) of the Brazilian Nursing Association (ABEn).
Method:
this is a documentary research, whose data were collected in the catalogs of theses and dissertations available at the ABEn website, from Volumes XIX to XXI. The indicators collected were: academic level; educational institution; year; qualification of the author; setting; non-conventional technology used; type of technology; association with conventional techniques; methodological design; benefi ts and methodological limitations.
Results:
from a total of 6346 studies, only 121 (1.91%) used non-conventional technologies for data collection, representing the fi nal sample of the study.
Conclusion:
it is concluded that Brazilian Nursing researches still need methodological innovations for data collection.
