Objective:
to report the construction of an educational technology to promote non-violent communication for health professionals.
Methods:
an experience report on the development of an educational technology on non-violent communication for health professionals, prepared by members of a social university extension project. The Plan-Do-Study-Act cycle was used as a process or product management procedure.
Results:

Objective:
to understand the professional interaction in the Emergency Care Network in the care of patients with acute ischemic stroke in the city of Salvador/Bahia.
Methods:
the Grounded Theory methodological framework, Straussian strand, and the health networks theoretical framework were used. An in-depth interview was used, between October 2019 and October 2020, with 75 professionals from the Mobile Emergency Care Service, Emergency Care Units and reference hospital.
Results:
5 categories and 24 subcategories point to shared goals among professionals, but they show elements of fragmentation of connections between services, such as the absence of a single language and conduct, obstacles to professional relationships and lack of knowledge of the other’s role.
Conclusions:
to improve network relationships and care of patients with stroke, there is a need for well-established connecting elements, such as flows and protocols, supported by continuing education actions.

Objective:
to understand the perceptions of hope for people with depression in the context of a therapy group.
Methods:
using a qualitative case study approach, a semi-structured in-depth interview and a self-report questionnaire were conducted with seven women with depression integrated in a therapy group at a Portuguese day-care psychiatric unit. Data collection and analysis used triangulation of sources.
Results:
the participants evidenced hope founded on the positive experiences of the past with a strong affiliation component. Hope management is done fundamentally through the interpersonal relationships established between the members of the group, based on communicational patterns that are established on a regular basis, mediated by the group therapist.
Conclusion:
the therapy group functioned towards the reinforcement of hope in people who experience depression, and it works as a motivation to manage the implications of illness in the participants’ life and health project.

Objective:
to report the experience of a nursing student with mental health care during a clinical internship.
Method:
an experience report based on data from a Singular Therapeutic Project developed by a nursing student during 16 days of practice in a Day Hospital as part of an undergraduate course. The findings were analyzed based on the theory of interpersonal relationships and psychosocial rehabilitation.
Results:
the care process was organized between the weeks and phases of the relationship in: 1) from the unknown to relationship of trust; 2) reflections and reframing as a care proposal; 3) from limitation to leading role; 4) from care resolution to mutual transformations.
Final considerations:
it was concluded that despite the limitations of the practice context, the student was able to conduct psychosocial interventions in mental health in line with the expected goals and produce meanings in both involved.

Objective:
To understand factors interfering with the attendance of quilombola children to growth and development follow-up appointments.
Method:
It is a qualitative research based on Symbolic interactionism, during which 14 mothers of children bellow 1 year-old were interviewed, who attended to the Family Health Unit at Ilha de Maré, Bahia, Brazil.
Results:
Appointment attendance is affected by factors intrinsic to mothers (meaning of child health follow-up; association between appointments and children falling ill; personal issues) and extrinsic factors, related to the service (availability, long waiting time for appointments and its quality).
Final considerations:
An administration prioritizing the service’s organization is required, which can prioritize attendances and the reduction of waiting time, specially given the personal issues that compromise going to the unit.

Objective:
to measure the organizational climate in the work of professionals from Family Health Strategy (FHS) teams.
Method:
a cross-sectional study carried out with 458 professionals belonging to 72 FHS teams in a municipality in Southern Brazil. Data collection occurred between March and July of 2016 with self-application of the Team Climate Inventory (TCI). Data were analyzed by means of a non-parametric ANOVA.
Results:
“Team Participation” was the best-rated domain (8.11), while “Task orientation” was the worst (7.51). Nurses obtained the highest mean in TCI (8.05), and dentists, the lowest (7.45).
Conclusion:
TCI is an appropriate and innovative tool for assessing the teamwork climate at the FHS. Identifying fragilities such as “task orientation” and relationships among professional categories of the team supports the planning of actions for organizational climate improvements and teamwork at the FHS.
