Objectives:
to map available evidence on telenursing use in the postoperative period and its impact on patient outcomes.
Methods:
a scoping review, conducted according to the JBI model and the PRISMA-ScR checklist. The search was carried out in the CINAHL, Embase, LILACS, PubMed, Web of Science, SciELO, Scopus and Cochrane Library databases.
Results:
twelve studies were included, published between 2011 and 2023, 66.6% of which were in developed countries. Of the positive outcomes, we highlight improved levels of disability, autonomy and quality of life, lower rates of post-operative complications, pain and reduced costs. Telephone monitoring was the most widely used modality, but there were few studies in the pediatric context and in Brazil.
Conclusions:
of the studies, 11 (91.6%) identified at least one positive outcome in telenursing use and none showed negative aspects in the postoperative period. The role of nurses in digital health needs further study.

Objectives:
to analyze and determine the effect of a combination intervention of early ambulation and dhikr therapy on intestinal peristaltic recovery in post-open cholecystectomy patients.
Methods:
a pre-experimental design with one group pre and post-test design was used. The samples were 15 post-open cholecystectomy patients which were selected using the purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using the instrument observation sheet and analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Early ambulation used standard operational procedure in the hospital and dhikr therapy was carried out at 2 hours post-operation for 10-15 minutes.
Results:
there was an effect of early ambulation and dhikr therapy on intestinal peristaltic recovery in post-open cholecystectomy patients with general anesthesia (Z=-3.442; p=0.001).
Conclusions:
a combination of early ambulation and dhikr therapy can be recommended as interventions to improve intestinal peristaltic in a post-open cholecystectomy patient with general anesthesia.

Objective:
To develop and validate an instrument to assist in the systematization of perioperative nursing care in robotic surgery.
Methods:
Methodological study developed in four phases: content survey; textual elaboration; content validation by the group of expert judges and target audience; and elaboration of the electronic instrument layout.
Results:
Eleven expert judges and seven evaluators of the target audience participated. For validation, the Content Validity Index (CVI) was used with a 0.78 cutoff point. The instrument total CVI after evaluation was 0.90 by the expert judges and 0.88 by the target audience.
Conclusion:
The tool built was proved satisfactory for the systematization of perioperative nursing care. The instrument construction was based on the updated scientific literature and validated by the expert judges and target audience.

Objectives:
to evaluate the effectiveness of carbohydrate popsicles, carbohydrate solution, and usual care (fasting) on the intensity and discomfort of preoperative thirst.
Methods:
a randomized clinical trial with 60 preoperative patients aged between 18 and 60 years, randomized into three groups: control (fasting), carbohydrate solution (100 ml), and carbohydrate popsicle (100 ml). The outcomes were thirst intensity and discomfort.
Results:
there was a difference between groups for final thirst intensity (p = 0.01) and final thirst discomfort (p = 0.001). The effect size for both the Solution Group and the Popsicle Group was robust: 0.99 and 1.14, respectively.
Conclusions:
the groups that received the carbohydrate fasting abbreviation showed a reduction in thirst discomfort compared to the control group. The carbohydrate popsicle proved more effective in reducing the intensity of thirst. NCT: 3.209.283

Objectives:
to assess the risks of pathogenic suffering related to the experience of nursing workers in the operating room of a university hospital.
Methods:
cross-sectional, quantitative study, carried out from 11/2017 to 01/2018 in a university hospital in the South of Brazil. The sample was composed by 159 nursing workers of the units of a surgical center, that answered to the Scale of Evaluation of Pathogenic Suffering at Work. Data was submitted to statistical analysis.
Results:
the workers present low risk of pathogenic suffering related to the experiences at work, being the results of its factors: Uselessness (1.47±0.761) - low risk; Indignity (2.372±1.035) - medium risk; and Disqualification (1.74±0.903) - low risk.
Conclusions:
the evaluation of Pathogenic Suffering at Work Scale was positive, predominating low risk for pathogenic suffering of surgical center workers related to professional experiences, because they feel useful, valued and are not indignant about their work, feelings that reflect on the quality of care provided.

Objectives:
to develop the safe surgery checklist for liver transplantation according to the original model of the World Health Organization and perform content validation.
Methods:
a methodological research developed in four stages: integrative review; expert participation; consensus among researchers; and content validation using the Delphi technique in two rounds, by five judges. For data analysis, the Content Validation Index was used.
Results:
the first version of the checklist consisted of four surgical moments with 64 items of verification, with an average Content Validation Index of 0.80. After adjustments, in the second round the checklist maintained four surgical moments with 76 items and a Content Validation Index of 0.87.
Conclusions:
the checklist was validated and adequate for the safety of liver transplantation in the surgical environment, given that each item established must be mapped and managed for the success and effectiveness of the procedure.

Objective:
to build and to describe an Individual Skills Matrix for nurses working in surgical units and their associated behaviors / attitudes.
Method:
Exploratory, qualitative study. 43 nurses from five surgical units participated, and data collection was carried out between April and September 2017. The focus group technique was used and for data interpretation an inductive thematic analysis was performed. The competence matrix was built from the testimonies of the participants plus a search in the literature for concepts directed to each competence and description of the expected behaviors and / or attitudes.
Results:
For the Matrix, the following individual skills were identified: Planning; Communication, Relational Competence, Leadership, Decision Making and Ethics.
Final Considerations:
The construction of a Matrix should assist managers in recognizing the professional profile and assessing their performance, strengthening the achievement of professional and organizational objectives, as well as contributing to the quality and effectiveness of the care provided by nurses in these places.
