Objective:
To build and validate an educational booklet for preventing complications in intestinal ostomy and peristomy skin.
Methods:
Methodological study developed in: 1. Survey of the clinical profile of patients; 2. Integrative review; 3. Construction of technology; 4. Validation of educational material. The Delphi technique was used, with 18 judges with expertise in the field of stomatherapy. For data treatment, the Collective Subject Discourse (CSD), descriptive analysis, Kappa Index (K), binomial test and Content Validity Index (CVI) were used.
Results:
The agreement rate between judges was higher than 0.61, for K p> 0.05, a proportion of 80% for the binomial test and 80% for the CVI. . The booklet showed an excellent index for K, binomial test and global content validity, becoming validated.
Final Considerations:
The booklet was validated in appearance and content, being an instrument that can favor communication between professionals and people with ostomies.

Objectives:
map both nursing interventions for the prevention of falls in paediatric age during hospitalization and the instruments for assessing the risk of falls in paediatrics.
Methods:
scoping review according to the protocol of Joanna Briggs Institute, with acronym PCC (P - children, C - fall preventive nursing interventions and instruments for assessing the risk of falling, C - hospital admission), in three sources of information (EBSCO, PubMed and SciELO).
Results:
the sample consisted of seven articles. The education of the child/family is the basis of the interventions, and the instruments for assessing the risk of falling identified were: Humpty Dumpty Falls Scale, GRAF PIF, CUMMINGS, I'M SAFE and CHAMPS.
Conclusions:
the education of children/parents on preventive measures is important and should be reinforced during hospitalization, using different methodologies. The Humpty Dumpty Falls Scale was the most analyzed.

Objectives:
to verify the suspicion of common mental disorders in nursing students of the professionalizing cycle and the association with sociodemographic features.
Method:
cross-sectional study with a sample of 85 students from a public university in the state of Rio de Janeiro (RJ) who responded to the Self-Report Questionnaire-20 and sociodemographic questions.
Results:
the suspicion prevalence of common mental disorders (CMD) in the sample was 55.3% and it was identified the association with the consumption of alcohol. Of the most frequent SRQ-20 complaints, 95.3% reported “feeling nervous, tense or worried”, 72.9% “having difficulty making decisions”, 60% “sleeping poorly” and 37.6% “having lost interest by things “.
Conclusion:
high prevalence of CMD in the sample and the association with the consumption of alcohol requires preventive and therapeutic actions among the students that minimize the possibility of severe mental disorders related to the consumption of alcohol and other drugs.

Objective:
Assessing the determining impacts and factors in ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) bundle.
Method:
descriptive retrospective longitudinal study, with quantitative approach, held at a public teaching hospital. Collection held between May 2014 and April 2015. Patients of the ICU with VAP participated in the research. For organizing data, the Microsoft Excel 2010 program was used. A critical analysis between the data collected and infection rates was performed. The survey was approved under no. 566,136.
Results:
an increase in the incidence of VAP after implementing the bundle was observed; the prevalent pathogens were gram-negative bacteria. Deaths were equal to or greater than 50%. Changes of professionals and lack of supplies were determining factors.
Conclusion:
in this context, the need for permanent qualification of the team is emphasized, with the purpose of promoting the adherence to the protocol and preventing VAP.
