Objectives:
to recognize the competencies for health promotion and their magnitude of expression in undergraduate health education based on the analysis of the pedagogical projects of the courses and from the teaching perspective.
Methods:
research with a mixed approach, carried out at a public university. The data collected from the pedagogical projects of the Nursing and Physical Education courses and through interviews and application of a matrix of Competencies in Health Promotion with 31 professors of the referred courses were analyzed in the light of Competencies Health Promotion.
Results:
all competencies investigated were recognized in the curricula and reports of nursing professors, but the possibility of changes was not identified in the pedagogical project of Physical Education, although this competency was recognized as extremely important by the professors, with a mode of 4.5.
Final Considerations:
the training process in the courses studied has favored the development of skills for health promotion.

Objective:
to know the perception of nurses, undergraduate students, and professors about the competencies for professional nurses in elder care.
Methods:
this is a qualitative analytical study developed with six professors, four nurses, and 12 nursing students. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using Fiorin’s Discourse technique, with support from the MAXQDA software.
Results:
the competencies identified included knowledge of theories and general concepts of gerontology, communication, listening, leadership, teamwork, proactivity, respect, and empathy.
Final considerations:
knowing the competencies contributes to understanding the aging process and qualifying nurses for elder care.

Objective:
To create competencies for the educational actions of nurses in the care and management work processes at the Family Health Strategy.
Method:
This is an exploratory, descriptive research, with a qualitative approach, on nurses of the Family Health Strategy (FHS) from a municipality in the Greater São Paulo. It was performed through semi-structured interviews and workshops.
Results:
There is a set of specific competencies for the educational actions of the nurse in care work, geared towards meeting the health needs of users/community; and for educational actions in management work, focused on work organization of the health team, indicating the importance of this work to FHS.
Final considerations:
Creating competencies proved to be significant to reflect on the educational actions of the FHS nurses and can be used as a strategy in permanent education processes.

Objective:
to describe the actions performed by nurses in the preceptorship of students in the Basic Health Unit (Portuguese acronym: UBS); to identify the knowledge of nurses and competencies they need to acquire or develop in order to act in the preceptorship of students in the UBS; to discuss the implications of the pedagogical practice of preceptor nurses in their own continuing education.
Method:
qualitative, descriptive and exploratory nature. Scenario: A UBS. Participants: six preceptor nurses. Data collection: semi-structured interview.
Results:
Bardin’s content analysis was used. Emerging categories: Approaching the concept of preceptor and the teaching role; The fragile institutional recognition of UBS as a field of internship and the offer of knowledge of preceptors: overcoming difficulties; Preceptor nurses’ performance in face of dynamics of facts arising and shaping the reality in a UBS; Opportunities and limitations of the pedagogical practice implying on continuing education.
Conclusion:
it is necessary to discuss and rethink the strategies of interest of preceptors and develop their competencies.
