Objectives:
to understand the nursing students’ professional values in different Brazilian universities and verify a correlation between the “Professional Value” and the sociodemographic variables.
Methods:
quantitative, cross-sectional, and descriptive study conducted through an electronic questionnaire with a Professional Values Scale (NPVS-3). Participants were Nursing students of all semesters from three universities - two in the Southeast region and one in the North region.
Results:
of the 337 participating Nursing students, 282 were female. The Caring dimension presented the highest score (mean=46.61), and Professionalism, the lowest score (mean=34.65). A statistically significant association was detected between the Caring dimension, “university where is attending,” and “gender.”
Conclusions:
the results indicate the Caring dimension as the one containing the most scored professional values since the nurses’ training, and the relation of those values in such dimension is more significant in the female sample.

Objective:
To adapt and validate the content of the Advanced Practice Nursing Competency Assessment Instrument (APNCAI) to Brazilian culture.
Methods:
This is a methodological study that followed the stages of translation, synthesis, back translation, evaluation by a committee of five specialists, pre-test with 31 nurses, and evaluation by the author of the original instrument. The Content Validity Index (minimum 0.90) and the modified Kappa (minimum 0.74) were calculated to evaluate the content.
Result:
In the first round of content evaluation, 18 items had to be altered because they did not reach the minimum values established. Three items have not reached a consensus in the second round and had to be sent to the author of the original version. In the pre-test, 13 items were returned to the specialists because they suffered content changes.
Conclusion:
The Advanced Practice Nursing Competency Assessment Instrument (APNCAI) - Brazilian version was cross-culturally adapted, and its content was validated.

Objectives:
to identify nurses’ competences in promoting women’s health.
Methods:
descriptive study with a qualitative approach that adopted the Galway Consensus as a theoretical-methodological framework. Data collection was performed through semi-structured interviews.
Results:
most of the Galway Consensus’ competence domains were present in the nurses’ interventions related to health promotion in women’s care. “Assessment of needs” and “Implementation” were the most highlighted domains, followed by “Leadership” and “Impact assessment”. The domain “Defending/Advocating Rights” was not identified.
Final Considerations:
within the nurses’ work with women, some of the Galway Consensus domains of competencies for health promotion were present. However, there is a need, in the context of continuous health education, to expand strategies and enhance the development and application of these health promotion competences.

Objectives:
to understand the work process dimensions related to innovative actions developed by nurses in Primary Health Care.
Methods:
qualitative, descriptive study, developed in Primary Health Care in a city in the Southern Region of Brazil. Seventy-six nurses, who worked in management and assistance, participated in this study through semi-structured interviews. After data processing by IRAMUTEQ software, the textual analysis occurred by descending hierarchical classification.
Results:
forty-two innovative actions, considered by the participants as new ways of working, were identified. There was a predominance of innovative actions related to the Management and Assist dimensions; we noticed the fragility of the actions to contemplate all the nurse’s work process dimensions.
Final Considerations:
the predominance of innovative actions was related to users’ assistance and better conditions in the teamwork process, besides highlighting the role of nurses in the perspective of a new way of working in health services.
