Objectives:
to understand health and education professionals’ perceptions regarding children’s learning difficulties in public schools.
Methods:
qualitative research, of the participatory action type, linked to Paulo Freire’s Research Itinerary. Forty-five professionals participated, through interviews and a Virtual Culture Circle. The analysis was developed through careful reading, reflection and interpretation of highlighted topics.
Results:
professionals discussed the (in)visibility of learning difficulties, strategies and resources in the educational sector and the search for solutions in the health sector. It was found that the production of complaints related to school learning is attributed predominantly as an individual problem of children or their family, exempting the educational institution from this process.
Final Considerations:
greater investment in professional training and development policies is urgently needed to facilitate coordination between sectors, with a view to overcoming outdated pedagogical and health models.

Objectives:
to compare health promotion actions carried out by Family Health teams in Ceará, linked to the School Health Program.
Methods:
a cross-sectional study involving the first and second cycles of an external assessment of 910 and 1,626 teams from 184 municipalities, which joined the Brazilian National Program for Improvement of Access and Quality of Primary Care. Eight clinical assessment and seven health promotion indicators were assessed, together with health professionals working in schools.
Results:
the interviewees were nurses (95.6% and 98.3%). Between the cycles, there was an increase in clinical assessment (78.7% and 91.3%), health promotion and disease prevention (82.5% and 89.3%) and survey of students for follow-up (41.4% and 66.4%) in schools.
Conclusions:
health actions at school advanced between cycles, with nurses as protagonists in school health, which can reduce vulnerabilities in children and adolescents and qualify Primary Care.

Objectives:
to describe the structure used in the School Health Program and analyze the association between its material resources and the actions carried out.
Methods:
cross-sectional, quantitative, analytical, and normative study. A normative instrument of the program was applied to collect data from May to July 2017 with 105 Family Health Strategy professionals. Data were organized and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics on IBM SPSS Statistics 22.0 software.
Results:
financial resources were made available with low periodicity; the most used human resources were dentists; the most frequent infrastructure resource was the school; the most frequently used materials were those related to administrative support (legal-size paper and pen) and clinical resources (fluoride, toothbrush, and toothpaste). An association was identified between resources and anthropometric assessment activities and vaccination status.
Conclusions:
the program structure showed reduced financial resources and priority participation of human resources from the health sector, and the actions were carried out by using the school infrastructure and administrative and clinical materials.

Objectives:
to understand adolescents’ perceptions on school health.
Methods:
qualitative and descriptive research grounded on Maurice Merleau-Ponty’s phenomenology, which was developed with 90 adolescent students from a federal school of the state of Rio de Janeiro. Data were produced by gathering answers to the following question: what is your perception on school health? Those who chose to write their answer to the guiding question deposited the manuscripts in polls.
Results:
school health is linked to hygienist practices and to the hegemonic assistentialist model. Nevertheless, we assigned senses and meanings to the practice of physical activity and health education by integrating and expanding behavioral strategies and healthy habits.
Final Considerations:
a healthy school environment implies the protagonism of adolescents in school health promotion actions.

Objective:
Elaborate and validate an educational technology for adolescents on leprosy, focusing on preventing the disease and reducing stigma.
Method:
First, a prototype of the educational technology was elaborated and later analyzed by 17 adolescents and 7 researchers’ experts in the leprosy area and educational technologies who answered a questionnaire with questions related to the subject. Subsequently, the technology has been applied to 43 adolescents, and a questionnaire was handed before and after the use of the game, so that questionnaire scores were compared by a Wilcoxon paired test.
Results:
After the data collection with researchers and adolescents, the answers received descriptive treatment, and the Content Validity Index was calculated, which reached a good level of agreement, with an overall value (0.86), although there were improvements to the technology, based on the perceptions of researchers and adolescents.
Conclusions:
There was an increase in knowledge about leprosy.
