Objectives:
to develop a middle-range nursing theory for care in the context of cardiovascular risk.
Methods:
a theoretical development study, through induction through research and ICNP® practice standards, carried out in six stages: concept analysis; ICNP® terminological subset structuring; theory contextualization and purpose; proposition construction; modeling; and assumption construction.
Results:
the Theory of Care in the Context of Cardiovascular Risk has a middle-range scope, describing care, prescribing actions to promote health and reduce cardiovascular risk. Thirteen propositions were constructed in three categories (nursing metaparadigm, central and factorial concepts), two models and 16 assumptions.
Final Considerations:
the theory contributes to the construction of knowledge arising from the nursing process for care in the context of cardiovascular risk, generating propositions, assumptions and modeling, which will enable theoretical testing.

Objectives:
to identify in the literature the main nursing diagnoses according to the NANDA-I diagnostic classification for people hospitalized with heart failure.
Methods:
an integrative literature review, carried out in February 2019 and updated in July 2023, in the MEDLINE via PubMed, LILACS, SciELO and CINAHL databases. Given the use of acronym PEO, studies without a time cut in Portuguese, English and Spanish were included. Descriptive analysis was carried out to present the identified information.
Results:
analysis of 27 articles identified 24 nursing diagnoses, with emphasis on Decreased Cardiac Output, Excessive Fluid Volume, Decreased Activity Tolerance and Fatigue.
Final Considerations:
evidence can contribute to better diagnostic decisions centered on people with heart failure in search of more assertive health results and have the potential to support future studies on a possible syndromic pattern in this population.

Objectives:
to assess urinary impairment in incontinent women with the aid of standardized nursing terminologies NANDA-I and NOC.
Methods:
a cross-sectional study, carried out with 97 women attending the gynecology outpatient clinic of a university hospital. Data collection took place using a form that contained information about NANDA-I diagnoses related to urinary incontinence and NOC Urinary Continence indicators. Statistical analysis was performed to assess the impairment of NOC indicators in the presence of NANDA-I nursing diagnoses.
Results:
diagnosis Mixed Urinary Incontinence was the most prevalent (43.3%), and, in its presence, the most compromised indicators were voids in appropriate receptacle, gets to toilet between urge and passage of urine and empties bladder completely.
Conclusions:
urinary impairment was worse in women with elements of stress and urge urinary incontinence.

Objectives:
to elaborate an ICNP® terminological subset for people with diabetic foot ulcers in Primary Health Care.
Methods:
this is a methodological study that followed five steps: 1) Identification of relevant terms for the patients through an integrative literature review and official documents in the area; 2) Mapping of terms identified with ICNP® terms; 3) Construction of statements of nursing diagnoses, outcomes and interventions; 4) Structuring of a terminological subset with the Self-Care Deficit Theory; and 5) Content validity of statements constructed with nurses from a programmatic area in Rio de Janeiro.
Results:
the subset developed is composed of 81 diagnoses/outcomes and 583 nursing interventions, organized into universal, change and development requirements.
Conclusions:
the subset on screen was predominantly composed of statements inserted in self-care requirements related to health changes, reinforcing the importance of quality of life and recovery.

Objective:
to elaborate and validate the content of a digital guide educational technology on Systematization of Nursing Care and Nursing Process.
Methods:
applied research of technological development, developed between 2020 and 2021, in three steps. First, a scoping review was carried out to elaborate the content. In the second step, the content was validated with 46 nurse judges selected for convenience. The minimum criterion of agreement among judges was 80%. The third step consisted of content organization and layout.
Results:
the guide content was elaborated from the Federal Nursing Council legislation, scientific articles and textbooks. Content was considered appropriate, relevant and organized by judges.
Final considerations:
the digital guide is an alternative that can contribute to the NP execution and implementation, supporting the planning and implementation of actions for quality of care.

Objective:
to identify, in the scientific literature, the defining characteristics and contributing factors (related factors, associated conditions and populations at risk) for nursing diagnosis decreased cardiac output.
Method:
an integrative literature review, conducted between September and October 2020, with an update in March 2022, in the MEDLINE via PubMed, LILACS, SciELO, CINAHL and EMBASE databases. Using acronym PEO, studies published in the last 10 years in Portuguese, English and Spanish were included. A descriptive analysis was carried out to present the elements mapped in the literature.
Results:
analysis of 31 articles identified different elements, highlighting 4 new related factors: hyperglycemic stress, prone position, left lateral position, sleep deprivation. Individuals with a history of cardiovascular disease and males were identified as possible populations at risk.
Final considerations:
the elements for decreased cardiac output, identified in the literature, add evidence that justifies the permanence of this diagnosis in the NANDA-I classification.

Objective:
to analyze midwives’ employment situation of midwives and detect their workload measurement needs.
Methods:
a mixed methodology (quantitative and qualitative), observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study. Two phases were carried out. The first methodological phase consisted of conducting semi-structured individual interviews. The second methodological phase analyzed the Nursing Intervention Classification (NIC) interventions that midwives perform in the labor room during daily practice.
Results:
90.3% of midwives have work overload, since for 80.6% the midwife-pregnant mother ratio is not well established, since the mean execution time of a Nursing Intervention Classification (NIC) intervention is 20 minutes. For this reason, 100% of the sample considers the development of workload measurement tools to be highly useful.
Conclusions:
the need to generate an instrument that considers the diversity of Nursing Intervention Classification (NIC) interventions that develop within the labor room is ratified.

Objectives:
to construct statements of nursing diagnoses for the clinical practice of rehabilitation of people with spinal cord injury using the International Classification for Nursing Practice (ICNP®) and Orem’s theory of self-care.
Methods:
methodological study developed in four steps: identification of relevant terms to clinical nursing practice in the rehabilitation of people with spinal cord injury; mapping of selected terms with ICNP® terms; construction of nursing diagnoses statements; mapping of statements constructed with pre-coordinated concepts of the ICNP®.
Results:
241 statements of nursing diagnoses were constructed and categorized according to the self-care requisites of the theory. The most prevalent statements were those related to universal requisites, followed by developmental requisites and health deviation requisites.
Conclusions:
the constructed nursing diagnoses reflect the complexity of phenomena evidenced in the clinical practice of rehabilitation, allowing a systematic and comprehensive care to the person with spinal cord injury.
