Objective:
to describe the theoretical construction process of nursing process support documents in COVID-19 care scenarios.
Methods:
an experience report of the joint activity of the Brazilian Nursing Process Research Network (Rede de Pesquisa em Processo de Enfermagem) composed of Higher Education and Health Institution researchers in Brazil.
Results:
five instruments were organized collectively, involving the elements of nursing practice (nursing diagnoses, outcomes and interventions) in assistance for community; for patients (with suspected or mild, moderate, and critical COVID-19 and residents in Nursing Homes); for nursing workers’ health support, also subsidizing registration and documentation during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Final considerations:
valuing the phenomena manifested by families/communities, patients and health professionals is essential for early detection, intervention, and prevention of diseases.

Objective:
Identify the main clinical indicators for assistance in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and map them in the nursing interventions described by the Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC).
Methods:
Integrative literature review study, followed by cross-mapping between clinical indicators for assistance in the ICU care and NIC nursing interventions and activities.
Results:
36 articles were identified, which resulted in 285 clinical indicators for ICU care, with mechanical ventilatory assistance, pain, sedation, psychomotor agitation, delirium, anxiety, altered heart rate, diet by naso tube / oroenteral and diarrhea the clinical indicators for assistance in the ICU the most prevalent. These were mapped in 12 Nursing Interventions Classification interventions and 130 nursing activities.
Final considerations:
It is concluded that the clinical indicators for ICU care associated with Nursing Interventions Classification are concrete data that assist intensive care nurses in their clinical practice.

Objectives:
to develop and validate conceptual and operational definitions of nursing diagnoses of the International Classification for Nursing Practice for people living with Aids.
Methods:
methodological study with 100 individuals with Aids, in a hospital school. In addition, 19 nurses selected from the Lattes platform acted as experts in the validation process. The research was conducted, using three moments: identification and validation of the nursing diagnoses; construction of the conceptual and operational definitions of the diagnoses, and content validation, using the content validity index.
Results:
a total of 35 diagnoses were identified and 18 had their conceptual and operational definitions validated, with validity index of ≥ 0.8.
Conclusions:
the construction of the conceptual and operational definitions enables nurses to analyze the clinical inferences and endorse the nursing diagnosis, contributing to its predictive capacity.

Objective:
Developing a mobile application for the teaching of the International Classification for Nursing Practice.
Methods:
Methodological applied research for technological production, performed in three phases of the contextualized instructional design model: analysis, design and development.
Results:
The application has an initial screen, which provides information about the team and its purpose. Then, four moblets are listed, including presentation, user’s guide consisting of five modules, educational games and five clinical cases. The references on which the application was based are also presented.
Final considerations:
It was possible to develop an application with the potential to promote the knowledge of nursing students and professionals about this classification system.

Objective:
to characterize the development of research on nursing diagnoses in nursing graduate programs and verify the application of the results of these studies according to the perception of academic advisors.
Methods:
documental research on dissertations and theses available from the databases of Brazilian universities with graduate programs in nursing, and exploratory survey on the practical application of their results.
Results:
216 dissertations and theses were analyzed. Most of them were descriptive studies, and the most widely used diagnostic taxonomy was NANDA International. Little practical use of the knowledge produced by the dissertations and theses was identified.
Conclusion:
Although there has been a considerable increase in research on nursing diagnoses, the survey stage revealed scarce practical application of their results, prompting the need for further studies in order to identify the barriers in the way of transposing theory to practice.

Objective:
to recount the story of the Simpósio Nacional de Diagnóstico de Enfermagem (National Nursing Diagnosis Symposium), from 1991 to 2018, describing the official themes and main recommendations; and reflect on the construction, in this process, of a specific field of knowledge for Nursing.
Results:
the manuscript became a historical study, using official documents resulting from the thirteen Symposiums conducted in the period from 1991 to 2018 as the primary source of empirical data. The outcomes were divided into two stages, from 1991 to 1992, when the event was linked to Interest Groups in Nursing Diagnosis; and from 1996 to 2018, when ABEn Nacional took over the organization and execution of the event.
Final considerations:
the socialization and exchange of knowledge about systematization of care, Nursing Process and nursing terminologies, themes focused on SINADEn, contributed decisively to the construction of a fruitful field of knowledge for Nursing.

Objective:
To understand the repercussions of the nurse’s clinical practice on Primary Health Care.
Method:
Qualitative research with the theoretical and methodological contribution of Grounded Theory. Data collection took place between May and October 2016 in Florianópolis’ Primary Care service. The theoretical sample was comprised of 18 nurses divided into two groups.
Results:
nurses’ clinical practice has repercussions on the consolidation of the trust bond between individuals, families and communities, by amplifying the problem-solving efficacy of the Primary Health Care professional’s clinical practice. This is due to the implementation of clinical nursing protocols, and also the use of the International Classification for Nursing Practice.
Final considerations:
Nurses’ clinical practice has positive repercussions on the health of Primary Health Care users.

Objective:
To describe the scientific production of the International Classification for Nursing Practice throughout dissertations and theses published by nurses in Brazil from 1996 to 2016.
Method:
A bibliometric, descriptive, quantitative documentary study, carried out from October/2015 to July/2016 on the sites of the Center of Studies and Research in Nursing (CEPEn), at the thesis and dissertation banks of the Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel and of the Plataforma Sucupira (Sucupira Platform).
Results:
There were 108 productions, 30 theses and 78 dissertations. In 2014, there was the largest number of publications (19). The Graduate Program in Nursing of the Universidade Federal da Paraíba had the highest number of productions (23). Regarding the theme, the use in clinical practice was highlighted (69), followed by the elaboration of terminology subsets (17).
Conclusion:
The Brazilian scientific production setting on ICNP® is expressive, evidencing this system as a tool that allows the provision of systematic care.
