Objectives:
to understand the pleasure-suffering duality experienced by students in stricto sensu Graduate Program in Nursing.
Methods:
qualitative, integrated single-case study based on the Psychodynamics of Work. The setting was the stricto sensu Graduate Program in Nursing in Brazil. Two Graduate Programs were chosen. Data collection took place between May 2017 and April 2018, with 23 students, through interviews guided by semi-structured script and Documentary Analysis. Content Analysis was carried out.
Results:
two analysis units emerged: Situations generating pleasure: bridges built by the Graduate Program and Situations generating suffering: walls of the Graduate Program. They were discussed in two dimensions - organizational and socio-professional relations.
Final considerations:
the results can contribute to the planning of actions capable of potentiating the creation of “bridges” that lead to reach of pleasure in the Graduate Program. It impels the confrontation of suffering-generating situations for the student.

Objective:
To identify the nursing interventions with potential to act on the suffering and to evaluate the results of the nursing intervention designed.
Method:
We used a multi method study. After the identification of the scientific evidence and having found the supporting theory, the intervention process to relieve the suffering of hospitalized patients was modeled using the methodology of qualitative research. Then, training conditions were created for the implementation of the intervention Chemotherapy Administration as an Individualized Nursing Intervention, with a Quasi Experimental, longitudinal piloting study.
Results:
The patients of the experimental group showed values of suffering lower than the control group . Having finished the pilot study, we would return to qualitative research to understand the variation of some data.
Final Considerations:
The use of mixed methods of investigations allowed the understanding of the different components of drug chemotherapy administration as an individualized nursing intervention.

Objective:
To compare occupational stress levels of nurse staff working in the surgical unit before and after the intervention “wellness room”.
Method:
Quasi-experimental study with a sample of 60 nurse staff working in a surgical unit of a teaching hospital in the Southern Region of Brazil. The intervention was conducted in a room in the workplace for six months and consisted of sections of aesthetic care, relaxation, lectures and workshops to reduce occupational stress. Data were collected through the Demand-Control-Support Questionnaire before and after the intervention, and the comparative analysis was performed by the Wilcoxon test.
Results:
After the intervention, there was a decrease in demand and an increase in control and in the social support received at work in all professional categories, but the differences were not statistically significant.
Conclusion:
The intervention “wellness room” reduced occupational stress levels in the sample studied; however, it was not a significant decrease.

Objective:
to analyze the indicators of burnout peculiar to health workers from units of Primary Health Care.
Method:
integrative review of the literature structured in the stages: guiding question; search; categorization of studies; assessment; discussion; and interpretation of results, and synthesis of knowledge. Search for original articles and reviews published from 2000 to 2016, in Portuguese, English and Spanish, in the main databases of the health area. Descriptors used: Nursing, Burnout and Primary Health Care.
Results:
14 articles met the proposed inclusion criteria, six (42.85%) presented a sample of nurses and eight (57.15%) health professionals.
Conclusion:
Primary Health Care workers are exhausted due to inadequate working conditions characterized by the lack of human and physical resources that leads to work overload, workplace violence and difficulty with teamwork, despite being satisfied with the work environment.

Objective:
to assess whether dietary intake of patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) meets national and international recommendations and whether there is a relationship with the levels of stress.
Method:
a cross-sectional study with 150 patients with ACS, who were interviewed with the Food Frequency Questionnaire and the Perceived Stress Scale-10.
Results:
daily intake above the recommendations: cholesterol (92%), fiber (42.7%) and protein (68%); intake below the recommendations: potassium (88%) and carbohydrates (68.7%); intake according to the recommendations: sodium (53.3%) and lipids (53.3%). Most patients with inadequate dietary intake (54%) were stressed or highly stressed. There was a signifi cant association between a lower stress level and a higher fi ber intake.
Conclusion:
in patients with ACS, dietary intake did not meet the guideline recommendations, and a lower fi ber intake occurs concomitantly with higher stress levels. Educational efforts can support patients in dietary intake adequacy and stress control.
