Objectives:
to understand how people living with HIV who have abandoned treatment face their health condition.
Methods:
a qualitative study, based on the Chronic Care Model theoretical precepts. Data were collected between April and August 2021, through interviews with 24 people registered in a specialized service in the Brazilian Midwest.
Results:
coping with the health condition included good and bad moments and is influenced by individual behaviors and the way in which the network was organized. Treatment abandonment was motivated by the absence of signs and symptoms, the way care is provided and medication side effects.
Final Considerations:
care actions focusing on behavior change and maintenance become necessary in order to favor continuity of treatment. Furthermore, the gaps identified in the way health services are organized are subject to intervention.

Objectives:
to analyze the evidence available in literature on factors associated with inadequate treatment of syphilis in pregnant women.
Methods:
an integrative review, carried out in the LILACS, CINAHL, Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed and EMBASE databases, with controlled descriptors therapeutic and prenatal syphilis.
Results:
nine publications composed the interpretative analysis, in which low education, income and maternal age, temporary lack of medication and HIV infection were associated with inadequate treatment of syphilis during pregnancy, in addition to delay or absence of prenatal care and receiving the 1st dose of penicillin, lack of tests or treatment less than 30 days before childbirth, and partners’ low compliance with treatment.
Final Considerations:
among the main factors associated with inadequate treatment, clinical and sociodemographic aspects stand out, as well as failures in drug dispensing, prescription and monitoring of treatment of pregnant women and their partners by the health system.

Objective:
to identify products/technologies for treating patients with pressure ulcers with an evidence level 1.
Method:
this is an integrative literature review. A survey of studies was carried out using the United States National Library of Medicine Portal, Scientific Electronic Library Online, Virtual Health Library, National Library of Medicine(®), The Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Latin American and Caribbean in Health Sciences, Nursing Database.
Results:
sixteen articles were selected with level of evidence 1. The findings were categorized into five categories: Topical therapy to promote healing; Alternative therapy to promote healing; Topical therapy to promote debridement; Topical therapy to minimize lesion contamination; Topical therapy to reduce lesion size.
Final considerations:
the 17 products/technologies identified favor/fast healing, debridement, minimize contamination and reduce lesion size to accelerate healing.

Objective:
To analyze the time elapsed between the identification of respiratory symptoms and the beginning of tuberculosis treatment, considering the sputum smear microscopy and the RMT.
Method:
Descriptive, retrospective epidemiological study, carried out in two Health Units, which were the only units that performed diagnosis by sputum smear microscopy and Rapid Molecular Test in the city. Data on respiratory symptoms with a positive result for tuberculosis were used. Analysis of data distribution and variance was performed, with a significance level of 5%.
Results:
The longest time interval found was “result/beginning of treatment”, for both tests, with a median of 3 days. It was found that the patient takes longer to receive the result when performing the Rapid Molecular Test.
Conclusion:
Patients who had the Rapid Molecular Test waited longer for results when compared to sputum smear microscopy, leading to a reflection on the need for further studies on the operation of health services.

Objective:
to discuss the intersection between being a nurse/being a therapist in the mental health field.
Method:
exploratory, qualitative study based on a self-report interview conducted with ten nurses from a psychiatric hospital in Rio de Janeiro between June and July 2017. Data were analyzed in the light of Travelbee’s theory.
Results:
Nurses consider themselves therapists because of actions performed in mental health care practice, despite the theoretical fragmentation of interpersonal relationships identified in the distance from the promotion of self-knowledge, which is an essential element in the psychotherapeutic process.
Final considerations:
the strong relationship between being and doing in nursing stands out and favors the development of satisfactory therapeutic relationships with the hospitalized person.
