Objective:
to identify evidence available in the literature on instruments and methodologies used to assess healthcare professionals’ knowledge about cancer care for the transgender population.
Methods:
a scoping review was conducted in seven databases, including studies that answered the question: what is the healthcare professionals’ level of knowledge about cancer care for the transgender population?
Results:
forty-one articles were selected that dealt specifically with healthcare professionals’knowledge in relation to care for the LGBTQIAPN+ population, especially the transgender population. Eighteen studies assessed patients’ perceptions of professionals’knowledge, whereas other studies used their own assessment tools, considering the global context of LGBTQIAPN+ health.
Conclusions:
there is no tested and validated instrument that assesses the knowledge about the transgender population’s oncological health, highlighting the need to construct and validate an instrument focused on this population’s needs.

Objective:
to describe the construction and validation of a nursing consultation technology for transgender women.
Methods:
a methodological study developed in three stages with construction based on the Leininger’s Cross-Cultural Theory, content validation performed by experts in transgender sexual health and evaluation by nurses of care for transgender women. Items with a minimum agreement of 80% were considered validated, according to the Content Validity Index and binomial test.
Results:
the technology contains 59 items in three blocks: the first, for identification of the transsexual woman; the second, with the Clinical Data; and the third, regarding the Propaedeutics of Care. All items reached agreement higher than 0.8 and an overall Validity Index of 80%.
Conclusions:
the technology was content-validated and evaluated by nurses and can be applicable in clinical and outpatient practice as well as in academia to promote quality care for transgender women.

Objective:
To describe and analyze the national and international scientific production on Nursing care for the transgender or gender-variance population.
Method:
Integrative review of the literature, conducted throughout the Virtual Health Library, Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Public Medline and Web of Science databases, without pre-established periods of time and using the descriptors "Transgender AND ‘Nursing Assistance'" and "Transgender AND ‘Nursing care'".
Results:
We included 11 articles, published between 2005 and 2016, broadly North American with only one Brazilian, so categorized: I- Fragility in the care of transgender people; II - Health of the transgender population: general and specific demands; III- Public health policies for transgender people. Transgender people have not found yet answers to their health demands; they are victims of prejudices and violence in services and seek care in extreme cases of sickness.
Final considerations:
Understanding their needs is primordial to build knowledge and practices that support nursing care.
