Objectives:
to analyze the legislation issued during the COVID-19 pandemic for nursing education and immediate consequences.
Methods:
documentary research, whose source was the legislation issued for nursing education during the COVID-19 pandemic. Thirty-two documents were analyzed and submitted to a collection instrument.
Results:
contradictions and consequences for nursing education following the guidelines and law of guidelines and bases were revealed. The consequences of the law affected the quality of teaching, equal access, exemption from minimum school days and course abbreviation. Regarding the guidelines, there was a lack of conditions for developing skills, in addition to the attempt to update them. Concerning internships, acting during the pandemic put students at risk, and their abbreviation prevented them from consolidating knowledge and skills.
Final Considerations:
remote teaching did not guarantee the quality and equality of teaching, weakened the development of skills, not taking into account nursing’s educational needs.

Objectives:
to understand maternal perceptions of maternal and child well-being based on Shantala massage and discuss its association with the third Sustainable Development Goal.
Methods:
a descriptive-exploratory study in the light of Symbolic Interactionism. Eight women, mothers of infants, participated in five online meetings to teach Shantala massage, collected in focus groups, between November and December 2021. The data was subjected to thematic content analysis and lexical analysis with IRAMUTEQ®.
Results:
two categories emerged, 1) Maternal perceptions of Shantala massage and its promotion of child well-being and 2) Maternal perceptions of Shantala massage and its impact on their well-being, interconnected with subcategories.
Final Considerations:
Shantala massage promoted mutual impacts on maternal and child well-being, working together to achieve the third Sustainable Development Goal.

Objectives:
to construct and assess an educational video to promote the adherence of women with pelvic organ prolapse to vaginal pessary use.
Methods:
this is a methodological study, with a longitudinal design and quantitative analysis. The pre-production (synopsis, argument, script, storyboard), production and post-production stages were covered. Content and technical assessments were carried out by judges from the health and communication areas, respectively, and appearance assessment by the target audience.
Results:
the video was the first to be developed on the topic on the national scene, considered assessed from the point of view of appearance and content, presenting an overall Content Validity Index of 0.99 and a level of agreement among judges of 91.1% to 100%. Assessment by the target audience reached a percentage of 96% to 100%.
Conclusions:
the educational video is an instrument capable of promoting adherence to pessary in women indicated for this therapeutic approach.

Objectives:
to describe the development of a Health Information and Communication Technology for the health care of long-haul truck drivers and their families.
Methods:
this is a description of the development of an Information and Communication Technology, developed from March to September 2023, following the systematization of the experience in five steps: 1) starting point, 2) initial questions, 3) recovery of the lived process, 4) background reflection, and 5) arrival points.
Results:
the technology called “Work-Family Balance,” electronically available, presents resources for the health care of long-haul truck drivers. It is anchored in studies on the health of long-haul truck drivers, notes from the International Labor Organization, the Strategic Action Plan for Confronting Chronic Diseases and Non-Communicable Diseases in Brazil, 2021-2030, and the Declaration by the International Association of Family Nursing.
Final Considerations:
the theoretical improvement of nursing can potentially improve the health care of long-haul truck drivers, prevent Chronic Non-Communicable Diseases, and promote work-life balance to achieve the goals of Agenda 2030.

Objectives:
to develop a middle-range nursing theory for care in the context of cardiovascular risk.
Methods:
a theoretical development study, through induction through research and ICNP® practice standards, carried out in six stages: concept analysis; ICNP® terminological subset structuring; theory contextualization and purpose; proposition construction; modeling; and assumption construction.
Results:
the Theory of Care in the Context of Cardiovascular Risk has a middle-range scope, describing care, prescribing actions to promote health and reduce cardiovascular risk. Thirteen propositions were constructed in three categories (nursing metaparadigm, central and factorial concepts), two models and 16 assumptions.
Final Considerations:
the theory contributes to the construction of knowledge arising from the nursing process for care in the context of cardiovascular risk, generating propositions, assumptions and modeling, which will enable theoretical testing.

Objectives:
to validate the content of a guidance guide on self-care in the postoperative period of breast surgery for breast cancer.
Methods:
a methodological study with content validity, carried out with 15 expert nurses and physiotherapists, between May and July 2022. Recruitment took place from the Lattes Platform, using snowball sampling. The level of relevance and representativeness for each item was verified using the Content Validity Index (CVI). It was considered valid when CVI was equal to or greater than 78% (0.78).
Results:
from the initial total of 37 items, two were excluded, as they had insufficient practical relevance and theoretical relevance, and another five items which, although presenting a CVI lower than the established cut-off, were suggested to be rewritten and grouped with other similar items.
Conclusions:
thirty items were considered valid and demonstrated important and significant characteristics, constituting suitable material for application in clinical practice.

Objectives:
to understand the role of Primary Health Care teams in caring for people with stroke after hospital discharge.
Methods:
single case study, with integrated units of analysis, with a qualitative approach. Data triangulation occurred through interviews with professionals and family caregivers involved in transition of care, in addition to direct observations in rounds and document analysis. For the analyses, the analytical strategies of theoretical propositions and construction of explanations were used, with the help of ATLAS.ti®.
Results:
the importance of counter-referral, the role of community health workers and the multidisciplinary team, health promotion, secondary prevention, home visits as a visceral attribute and nurses as care managers are evident.
Final Considerations:
the high demand on teams and the Social Determinants of Health interfere with adequate continuity of care. Transitional care programs that enable continuity of care are recommended.

Objectives:
to analyze the completeness of variables from Hospital-Based Cancer Registries of cases of prostate neoplasm in the Oncology Care Network of a Brazilian state between 2000 and 2020.
Methods:
an ecological time series study, based on secondary data on prostate cancer Hospital-Based Cancer Registries prostate. Data incompleteness was classified as excellent (<5%), good (between 5%-10%), fair (10%-20%), poor (20%-50%) and very poor (>50%), according to the percentage of lack of information.
Results:
there were 13,519 cases of prostate cancer in the Hospital-Based Cancer Registries analyzed. The variables “family history of cancer” (p<0.001), “alcoholism” (p<0.001), “smoking” (p<0.001), “TNM staging” (p<0.001) had a decreasing trend, while “clinical start of treatment” (p<0.001), “origin” (p=0.008) and “occupation” (p<0.001) indicated an increasing trend.
Conclusions:
most Hospital-Based Cancer Registries variables showed excellent completeness, but important variables had high percentages of incompleteness, such as TNM and clinical staging, in addition to alcoholism and smoking.

Objectives:
to develop and evaluate a Middle-Range Theory for the nursing diagnosis “Disrupted Mother-Fetus Dyad Risk” in high-risk pregnancies.
Methods:
this methodological study was conducted in two stages: theory development and evaluation. Dorothea Orem’s General Nursing Model was used as the theoretical-conceptual foundation. Evaluation was conducted using the Delphi method with seven judges, and consensus was achieved when the Content Validity Index of the evaluated items was ≥ 0.80.
Results:
the theory identified 20 elements of the nursing diagnosis “Disrupted Mother-Fetus Dyad Risk” (10 risk factors, 4 at-risk populations, and 6 associated conditions), 14 propositions, and 1 pictogram. After two rounds of evaluation, the theory was considered consistent, with consensus reached for all items, each achieving a Content Validity Index ≥ 0.80.
Conclusions:
the Middle-Range Theory included biopsychosocial factors explaining the nursing phenomenon “Disrupted Mother-Fetus Dyad Risk,” which aids in nurses’ diagnostic reasoning.

Objective:
To identify the manifestations presented by parents of children and adolescents who require special health attention that can impact their mental health.
Methods:
exploratory, qualitative research, based on the concept of vulnerability, with data collection carried out through interviews with 18 parents of children and adolescents with special health care needs, hospitalized in the pediatric ward of a hospital in Paraná, between May/2017 and May/ 2018. Data analyzed by inductive thematic analysis.
Results:
parents experienced situations of vulnerability when providing care at home, with repercussions on their mental health, expressed by manifestations of lack of protection, anxiety and depression.
Final considerations:
It is important that health professionals seek to expand actions to promote care and reduce situations that generate threats, insecurities, concerns and damage to the health of parents, which can impact and further weaken care for children and adolescents who need attention especially health.

Objective:
to analyze the profile of scientific production on nursing technology construction, validity and application.
Methods:
this is a bibliometric study, carried out in six databases, based on the Methodi Ordinatio application, arranged in nine stages. To represent the findings, the VOSviewer® software was used.
Results:
346 studies were identified, obtained from BDENF, CINAHL, EMBASE, LILACS, PubMed/MEDLINE, Scopus and Web of Science. There was a predominance of the English language, and 20% of the authors hold more than 25% of studies. Only two journals account for 25% of studies in the period studied. Twenty-six studies were selected for the InOrdinatio classification. Nursing Process (23%) stood out among the studies. The most produced technology was software (27%), and 50% of works describe construction and validity.
Conclusions:
there is an emphasis on the creation of educational technologies, especially information technology. The data demonstrates opportunities for future research in the area.

Objectives:
to evaluate software technical quality for collecting data from patients under palliative care.
Methods:
this is methodological technology evaluation research, according to the technical standard International Organization for Standardization/International Electrotechnical Commission 25040-2011, developed from August 2021 to August 2023. Eight nurses and eight information technology professionals participated as judges, who evaluated six quality characteristics and 23 subcharacteristics. Items that reached a percentage of agreement greater than 70% were considered suitable.
Results:
the characteristics evaluated by nurses/information technology professionals received the following percentages of agreement, respectively: functional suitability (94%-84%); reliability (100-70%); usability (89.9-66.8%); performance efficiency (95.8%-86.1%); compatibility (95.8-79.6%); and safety (96%-83.4%).
Conclusions:
the software was considered suitable in quality evaluation to offer support to nurses in collecting patient data under palliative care, with the potential to operationalize the first Nursing Process stage.

Objective:
to assess validity evidence of an educational video on safe sexual activity after acute coronary syndrome.
Method:
study in three phases: video development; content validity analysis by 11 experts; and analysis of validity based on response processes by seven people with coronary disease. The content validity ratio (CVR) was calculated with critical values for the second phase of 0.63 and for the third of 1.0.
Results:
the video addressed the importance of resuming sexual activity and positions that consume less energy, clinical warning signs, the importance of adhering to treatment and a welcoming environment for sexual practice. A CVR above the critical value was obtained with a total of 4 minutes and 41 seconds.
Conclusion:
the educational video brings together adequate content validity evidence and can be used as a tool for patients after acute coronary syndrome.

Objective:
to map scientific evidence regarding the use of local pressure devices in pain relief during injection procedures in patients.
Methods:
scoping review, following the recommendations of the JBI Manual for Evidence Synthesis and PRISMA-ScR, with searches conducted in the PubMed, EMBASE, CINAHL, LILACS, and PsycINFO databases, without temporal restrictions and with a cutoff date of March 2023.
Results:
a total of 1,514 studies were identified, with 20 articles included in the final sample. The ShotBlocker® device was utilized during subcutaneous and intramuscular injections in children and adults, proving beneficial in reducing pain, anxiety, and fear associated with the procedure.
Final considerations:
the ShotBlocker® is a low-cost, easy-to-use device that can enhance nursing clinical practice during painful procedures. However, studies involving the Brazilian Pikluc® device are scarce. Further research involving both local pressure devices is recommended.

Objective:
To characterize the socioeconomic and clinical profile of adult cancer patients in palliative therapy.
Method:
Cross-sectional study in an oncology hospital in Paraná, with 124 adult patients who started palliative therapy in the period from Jan. 2 to June 30, 2015.
Results:
Of the participating population, 60.5% were women, 68.5% white, 48.4% married, 72.6% catholic and with income of one to two minimum wages. Non-smokers, 45.2%, non-alcoholics 75%, and 92% had Performance Status 1 and 2. The predominant primary diagnosis was breast cancer, with previous chemotherapy and radiotherapy. The sites of metastasis were lung/mediastinum/bronchi and lymph nodes.
Conclusion:
The socioeconomic and clinical context characterized the profile of adult patients in palliative therapy. The demand arising from the increase in cases of advanced cancer requires nursing care at all stages of treatment.

Objective:
analyze the social representation of undergraduates from the health area in which were scholars of PET–Saúde of the UFRJ-Macaé Professor Aloísio Teixeira Campus about this program and its contribution to the respective professional training.
Method:
This is an exploratory, descriptive study, with a qualitative approach. A total of 38 undergraduates participated, and a professional socioeconomic questionnaire and semi-structured interview were used to collect data. To analyze the data, thematic content analysis was used.
Results:
The results showed that PET–Saúde integrates undergraduates, health professionals and community, seeking the interdisciplinarity and the interrelation of those involved, articulating the scientific knowledge with the common sense for the transformation of the health service.
Conclusion:
The program encourages population’s empowerment and the critical, reflexive thinking of undergraduates and professionals about the health-disease process and acts as a source of transformations in the training of health professionals in response to the demands of the Unified Health System (SUS).

Objective:
to evaluate the quality of primary health care from the perspective of the male population.
Method:
a cross-sectional descriptive-evaluative study conducted at the family health units of Teresina, Piauí, Brazil, with the male population being interviewed through the Primary Care Assessment Tool (PCAT).
Results:
301 participants with mean age of 51.34 years, married, incomplete elementary school and monthly income between one and two minimum wages. The evaluation was positive for the following care domains: utilization, information system and longitudinality. The features access, comprehensiveness of care, service available and service provided, family centeredness and community orientation obtained a negative evaluation.
Conclusion:
the features of primary care are unsatisfactory, indicating the need to expand access to services offered and to qualify care for male users.

Objective:
report the experience of applying the theoretical data saturation technique in qualitative research with schoolchildren.
Method:
critical reading of primary sources and compilation of raw data, followed by thematic grouping through colorimetric codification and allocation of themes/types of statements in charts to find theoretical saturation for each grouping.
Results:
colorimetric codification occurred according to previously established themes: bodily hydration; physical activities and play; handling of sickle-cell disease; feeding and clothing. On the eleventh interview, it was possible to reach the theoretical saturation of themes, with four additional interviews being performed.
Conclusion:
this experience report enabled the description of the five sequential steps for identification of theoretical data saturation in qualitative research conducted with schoolchildren.

Objective:
To describe the creation and implementation of the extension program Advanced Practice Nursing in Pediatric Urology, developed in the outpatient clinic of a teaching hospital in the Federal District.
Method:
This is an experience report regarding the implementation of an outpatient service aimed at children and adolescents with symptoms of bladder and bowel dysfunction.
Results:
Because it is an extension program linked to the university, it follows a different model of care, valuing empowerment, informed and shared decision making, which results in a stronger bond between patients, family and the Pediatric Urology nursing team. It has also become a privileged space for the production and use of scientific knowledge, associated with the principles of evidence-based practice.
Conclusion:
This project shows a different performance of the nurse-specialist-professor-researcher in Pediatric Urology Nursing, and it has become a reference in the Federal District, mainly for undergraduate and graduate nursing students.
