the objective was to assess the level of physical activity (LPA) and the quality of life QL of the professionals who work in ICU.
Method:
this was a cross-sectional study carried out in Adult ICUs. LPA was assessed by the International Questionnarie of Physical Activity – short form (IQPA-SF) and the QL by the Medical Outcomes Study 36 (SF-36) questionnaire.
Results:
it was classified active 50.89% out of a total of 59 professionals. Nursing technicians were considered the most active with 60.6%. The QL of the professionals who were considered active were better when compared to inactives, with statistical differences to the category of physical aspects limitation, social aspects and mental health. The working hours were higher than recommend, the physicians were higher than the physical therapist, nurses and technicians nurses (p = 0.046).
Conclusion:
physically active professionals who work in ICU had higher quality of life probably why have lower hours of work and consequently more free time to engage in physical activity.

identify learning needs of students of Technical Vocational Education (TVE) in Nursing. Qualitative study conducted in a city of São Paulo state.
Method:
the subjects were students, teachers and coordinators of TVE and students of the bachelor degree who have had contact with TVE. Data collection was performed by questionnaire socioeconomic and cultural circles about the learning needs. For data analysis we used the content analysis.
Results:
it was found that students have difficulties contents not related to nursing as portuguese and mathematics, as well as introductory courses in the course of TVE which possibly may interfere negatively in learning specific content of nursing and the quality of health care.
Conclusion:
it is necessary to rethink the content taught and ways to teach from basic education, as well as the training of teachers who now works in the TVE.

to evaluate students opinion regarding e-Baby educational technology.
Methodology:
exploratory descriptive study in which participated a sample composed of 14 nursing Portuguese students that used e-Baby digital educational technology in an extracurricular course. To achieve the aim of the study, the data collection was realized through an opinion instrument in Likert scale including the possibility of commentaries by students. Is was also collected data of participants’ characterization.
Results:
students made very satisfactory evaluations regarding the game e-Baby, varying since usability acceptation through suggestions of expansion of the game to other nursing themes.
Conclusion:
serious game e-Baby can be considered a didactic innovation and motivator tool of learning. Besides, it demonstrates have adequate interface in design and educative function aspects, evocating intense interaction between user and computational tool.

Objectives:
to discuss specific laws and public policies for workplace violence in the health sector, highlighting possibilities for the collective confrontation of this phenomenon in Brazil.
Methods:
this is a reflective and argumentative study that refers to some previous experiences regarding the implementation of legal aspects to curb workplace violence directed at health professionals.
Results:
there are experiences regarding the existence of legislation or public policies to specifically contain workplace violence in the health sector, but these are still restricted to some places or countries. The literature provides resources for developing specific strategies for managing this phenomenon, highlighting prevention programs and conducts for case management.
Final Considerations:
implementation of legal aspects or public policies at the municipal, regional, state and/or national level is a strategy with potential to confront workplace violence in health services in a collective and sustainable way.

Objective:
To analyze the knowledge about tuberculosis among nursing undergraduate students of a Federal Higher Education Institution.
Method:
Descriptive cross-sectional study, with quantitative approach. Data were collected through a questionnaire based on the WHO’s guide to developing evaluation instruments on knowledge, attitudes and practices related to TB. Students were classified as “with knowledge” and “with little knowledge” based on the mean percentage of correct responses to the variables analyzed. Descriptive statistics techniques were used.
Results:
60 nursing students were interviewed. “with little knowledge” was observed among students who were studying at the university for less time and who had no previous contact with the subject, and “with knowledge” was observed among those whose knowledge about tuberculosis was acquired in the health services.
Conclusion:
Knowledge gaps among undergraduate nursing students were identified, suggesting the need to rethink teaching-learning strategies on the subject.

Objective:
to analyze the spatial distribution of new cases of tuberculosis compared to the location of the Primary Healthcare Units that performed the compulsory notification.
Method:
ecological study conducted in Belém, Pará, with 5,294 new cases of tuberculosis notified to Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação for the period from 2010 to 2014. The cases were georeferenced using the software applications ArcGis 10.2 and TerraView 4.2.2. The techniques of Kernel density and global Moran geostatistics were used.
Results:
the incidence of tuberculosis cases did not vary significantly between the years studied, however there was a variation in incidence between neighborhoods. Health units that exhibited higher number of notifications can suffer great influence of migration from nearby neighborhoods.
Conclusion:
the spatial dynamics of tuberculosis associated with health services allows to know the areas with increased risk of tuberculosis and the density of notifications of health units.

Objective:
to identify the prevalence and predictors of frailty in older people in Primary Health Care.
Method:
this is a descriptive and correlational study, carried out in a convenience sample of 136 older people in the community. Data were collected through a sociodemographic and clinical questionnaire and frailty phenotype. Student’s t test or U-Mann-Whitney test, chi-square and binary logistic regression were used for data analysis.
Results:
the prevalence of frailty was 26.5% (n=36). Frail individuals had older age (p=0.011), worse self-rated health (p=0.001) and lower physical capacity (p<0.001). In the multivariable regression, it was observed that frail individuals had older age (Odds Ratio=1.111; 95% confidence interval=1.026-1.203) and worse physical capacity (Odds Ratio=0.673; 95% confidence interval=0.508-0.893).
Conclusions:
the prevalence of frailty in older people in Primary Health Care was considerable. Advanced age and worse physical capacity were the most relevant predictors of frailty in the elderly.

Objectives:
to understand the meanings of Reiki therapy in the Unified Health System, based on the experiences of users and therapists.
Methods:
thematic oral history study, conducted with 12 users and 11 Reiki therapists, in three public health services, in the city of São Paulo, SP, in 2018. The interviews were transcribed and categorized, through thematic content analysis, with the help of the Atlas.ti software.
Results:
for the interviewees, Reiki activates a universal energy, offering benefits to the body, mind, and spirit. The engagement of therapists in such practice was motivated by the desire to carry out voluntary work. Users claim to seek this therapy to overcome a state of suffering and use natural practices.
Final Considerations:
the meanings and experiences with Reiki therapy are many, but they converge in the understanding of this practice as a producer of health, well-being, and quality of life, through care centered on the integral human being.

Objective:
To analyze the theoretical dimensions of hope as a recovery-oriented practice in mental health nursing.
Method:
This is a reflective and discursive study based on theoretical and experiential aspects of hope in the recovery process of people facing mental health disorders.
Results:
Maintaining hope in adverse situations, especially while facing mental suffering, requires skills to manage the factors that promote and inhibit hope. This balance can be tricky to reach without the presence of high-skilled professionals. The study presents the concept of hope-inspiring competence and its main dimensions. The nurse’s hope-inspiring competence is recognized as a crucial advanced practice that optimizes mental health by providing motivational resources. Final Considerations: Hope-inspiring competence should be a core principle for recovery-oriented mental health professionals. Despite this recognition, the promotion of hope in mental health nursing specialized practice lacks evidence and visibility.

Objectives:
to identify the reasons for the prevalence of the technocratic model in obstetric care from the perspective of health professionals.
Methods:
Grounded Theory. Study approved by two Research Ethics Committees and conducted by theoretical sampling, from July 2015 to June 2017. Twenty-nine interviews were conducted with health professionals from two maternity hospitals in the Southern Region of Brazil. Data collection and analysis was performed alternately; and analysis by open, axial, and selective coding/integration.
Results:
the technocratic model still persists because the assistance is performed in a mechanized way, centered on the professionals. There is a lack of systematization of care, and under-dimensioning of the nursing staff.
Final Considerations:
obstetric nurses need to review their performance in obstetric centers, the internal organization, the dimensioning of nursing professionals, and become protagonists of care. Investment in academic training/updating the knowledge of midwifery professionals, based on scientific evidence and user-centered care is necessary.

an integrative literature review of five databases, Medline/Pubmed, Scopus, Lilacs, Bdenf, Cinahl using the following descriptors “adolescent” “adolescence” “youth” “primary prevention” “prevention” “primary” “sexual violence”, plus the Boolean operators AND and OR, with a final sample of 24 articles; the evidence was assessed by the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development and Evaluation
Results:
the review identifies different structures of the study object, classified in the categories “Interventions with programs created by authors” and “Interventions with standard programs”.
Conclusion:
there are actions to prevent sexual violence against adolescents; the participants’ knowledge was assessed immediately after the intervention, but the assessment of the participants’ acquisition of habits and behavioral changes was to a lesser extent; health prevention is crucial for society’s healthy development, which demonstrates that its applicability in the environment directly favors human health.
