Objectives:
to report the implementation and maintenance of an evidence-based Standard Operating Procedure for surgical counting performed at a teaching hospital.
Methods:
a report of a project to implement evidence for surgical counting, carried out at a university hospital in December 2017, and the subsequent cycles for better performance of the implemented organizational document and maintenance of better results until March 2022.
Results:
the report is divided into implementation project presentation and four other cycles after implementation, related to maintenance of improvements. It was possible to prepare a Standard Operating Procedure for Surgical Count, train the nursing team, carry out educational intervention for surgical teams.
Final Considerations:
there was an improvement in complying with the standardized procedure at the first moment and worsening in the period related to the pandemic. New efforts began again, including a self-instructive online course combined with first-time strategies.

Objectives:
to clarify the concepts of Nursing Care Management and Nursing Care Administration in the scientific literature, highlighting approximations and distances between the terms.
Methods:
scoping review as per Joanna Briggs Institute protocol and preferred reporting items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analysis extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR). The searches were performed in LILACS, CINAHL, MEDLINE, and Scopus databases.
Results:
the qualitative analysis, through content analysis, counted 49 studies published between 2007 and 2020. Hospital care was the most evident level of care. It was identified that nursing care management aims at the macropolitical performance of nurses and mobilizes skills essentially strategic-cognitive, while Nursing Care Administration aims at the micropolitical performance of nurses, requiring essentially strategic-administrative skills.
Final Considerations:
the study allowed us to propose the conceptualization of the terms and identify the approximations and distances between them.

Objectives:
to analyze the effects of sexuality on depressive symptoms and quality of life in older adults.
Methods:
a cross-sectional and analytical study, developed with 596 older adults, who completed four instruments for data collection. Data were analyzed using the Kruskal-Wallis test and Structural Equation Modeling, with a 95% Confidence Interval.
Results:
among the sexuality dimensions, only physical and social adversities exerted statistically significant effects on depressive symptoms (SC=-0.095; p=0.003), but with low magnitude. Moreover, all sexuality dimensions had statistically significant effects on quality of life, being of low magnitude for sexual act (SC=0.171; p=0.010) and for physical and social adversities (SC=0.228; p<0.001), and moderate magnitude for affective relationships (SC=0.474; p<0.001).
Conclusions:
effects of different magnitudes were observed between sexuality dimensions on participants’ depressive symptoms and quality of life.

Objectives:
to perform content validity and verify the psychometric properties of the adapted version of an alcohol knowledge questionnaire and associated questions.
Methods:
a methodological study, in which a committee of judges analyzed the questionnaire item representativeness, clarity and relevance. Item response theory was used to assess the instrument psychometric properties applied to a sample of 240 health professionals.
Results:
the questions were adjusted according to judges’ assessment, obtaining a satisfactory Content Validity Index (0.98). High discrimination ability and adequate difficulty levels were observed in 75% of multiple-choice questions and in 25% of statements.
Conclusions:
the instrument presented content validity with satisfactory indices. However, it is recommended that the questionnaire adapted in this study be used in different samples of health professionals from other parts of Brazil, in order to provide greater robustness to its reliability.

Objectives:
to describe the implementation of a nursing action plan to face the pandemic of COVID 19 in a University Hospital in the state of Rio de Janeiro. Methods: this is an experience report, in which two management tools were used: the Ishikawa Diagram to identify problems and the 5W2H spreadsheet to outline the actions according to the situations presented.
Results:
four categories were listed in two groups: 1- Actions of the Nurse Manager in the Organization of Logistics, Infrastructure and Care: materials and environment; and 2- Nursing Human Resources Management and Continuing Education: method and human resources.
Final Considerations:
the plan developed showed the role of nursing management, with the search for best care practices, development of protocols, carrying out multi-professional training and management of supplies.

Objectives:
to construct and validate an educational video storyboard about care for premature newborns at home.
Methods:
a methodological study, with the construction of an educational video storyboard, validated with 14 judges. Content was selected from scoping review. For data collection, a validated instrument was used. The criterion for validity was agreement greater than 80%, analyzed using the Content Validity Index.
Results:
the storyboard construction was guided by the Cognitive Theory of Multimedia Learning theoretical framework. Construction and validity took place from May to December 2020. The storyboard’s final version lasted 10 minutes, and was validated in terms of objective, structure, presentation and relevance, with a Content Validity Index of 0.9.
Conclusions:
the storyboard of the educational video proved to be valid and adequate for health promotion in developing care for premature newborns at home.

Objectives:
to analyze and determine the effect of a combination intervention of early ambulation and dhikr therapy on intestinal peristaltic recovery in post-open cholecystectomy patients.
Methods:
a pre-experimental design with one group pre and post-test design was used. The samples were 15 post-open cholecystectomy patients which were selected using the purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using the instrument observation sheet and analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Early ambulation used standard operational procedure in the hospital and dhikr therapy was carried out at 2 hours post-operation for 10-15 minutes.
Results:
there was an effect of early ambulation and dhikr therapy on intestinal peristaltic recovery in post-open cholecystectomy patients with general anesthesia (Z=-3.442; p=0.001).
Conclusions:
a combination of early ambulation and dhikr therapy can be recommended as interventions to improve intestinal peristaltic in a post-open cholecystectomy patient with general anesthesia.

Objective:
to develop, in a participatory way, an educational technology to assist nurses in the management of tuberculosis cases in Primary Health Care.
Methods:
methodological research with a qualitative approach. Data were collected between June and October 2022, in 25 Basic Health Units, with 41 nurses interviewed individually. Thematic content analysis was carried out to guide technology elaboration.
Results:
three empirical categories were organized, demonstrating the facilities and difficulties in tuberculosis management, the conceptions about educational technology as a facilitator of the teaching-learning process in Primary Health Care and participatory development of technology. Nurses were in favor of constructing an instructional guide technology, and made suggestions to encourage its creation and use in daily service routine.
Final considerations:
the participatory process made it possible to create technology to assist nurses in the teaching-learning process in Primary Health Care about caring for people with tuberculosis.

Objectives:
to analyze films and documentaries about eating disorders from the last twenty years, identifying the way they approach the topic as well as their relevance for didactic use in teaching the health field.
Methods:
a descriptive study, whose data collection was carried out on the main streaming and video platforms, resulting in the survey of 60 media. Of these, only 25 had audio/subtitles in Portuguese (inclusion criteria). scientific relevance was analyzed considering psychopathological and epidemiological aspects of these disorders. A questionnaire about the plot, characters and descriptive data analysis were used.
Results:
most media were dramas about female teenagers who tried to conform to beauty stereotypes, whose symptoms portrayed converged with current medical diagnostic manuals.
Conclusions:
in practical terms, a classificatory list of 11 media was prepared that could be used as a teaching resource for teaching this topic in the health field.

Objectives:
to map the production of technologies aimed at monitoring falls in a hospital environment protected by registered patents.
Methods:
a technological prospecting of international patents, with a quantitative approach, with search carried out between February and March 2022 in the Derwent Innovations Index database with descriptors fall, hospital, monitoring.
Results:
212 patents were found, with the majority filed and published since 2010, by Tran B (9) and Cerner Innovation Inc (9), focused on health technology. Universities were responsible for 13% of deposits. There was a predominance of records from the United States (43.4%), China (21.7%) and Japan (12.3%), in addition to technological strategies classified as devices for the environment (80.7%) and for preventing falls (66.5%) as well as trend towards resources with multiple functionalities in the same technology.
Conclusions:
the plurality of functions in the same device reflects the search for optimizing resources and the concern with comprehensive care.

Objectives:
to map the scientific evidence related to the characteristics, themes, and outcomes of using health education podcasts aimed at individuals over 18 years of age in intra or extrahospital environments.
Methods:
a scoping review, based on the Joanna Briggs Institute method, conducted in 11 databases, including studies from 2004 to 2022.
Results:
11 studies were selected, categorized, highlighting the characteristics, evaluated outcomes, areas, and conditions of podcast application, indicating it as an effective tool for promoting behavioral change, health promotion, and social interaction, demonstrating its potential to improve well-being, quality of life, and user/client autonomy.
Conclusions:
the use of podcasts proves to be an effective, innovative, and low-cost tool, with a significant social impact, being effective for behavioral change, satisfaction, and social interaction. However, the lack of comprehensive studies on podcast development methodologies represents challenges to be overcome.

Objectives:
to analyze the role of nursing in the establishment of an HIV/AIDS Testing and Counseling Center in a Brazilian municipality.
Methods:
a historical study utilizing primary sources, including documents and oral accounts, involving a total of ten participants. The study encompasses the years 1997 and 1998. The research took place at the Testing and Counseling Center in São João de Meriti. Data was collected from March to May 2022.
Results:
nursing made significant contributions through the development of training initiatives led by nurses, who were also responsible for individual and group counseling, as well as HIV testing requests.
Final Considerations:
nursing played a crucial role in the center and in the management of Sexually Transmitted Infections, being involved in all stages of treatment in accordance with current public health policy.

Objectives:
to identify and synthesize scientific evidence on prevention and management of extravasation of antineoplastic agents in adult patients by nurses.
Methods:
scoping review, according to Joanna Briggs Institute and PRISMA-ScR. Research was conducted in five electronic databases, Cochrane Library and eight catalogs of theses and dissertations. Data collection occurred from April to July 2018, with no time limit. The extracted data were analyzed and synthesized in a narrative way.
Results:
a total of 3,110 records were retrieved and 18 studies were kept for review. Most publications (66.6%) had a qualitative approach and addressed both aspects, i.e., prevention and management of extravasation of chemotherapy in adult patients.
Conclusions:
the implementation of protocols based on scientific evidence on prevention and management of extravasation of antineoplastic agents is paramount in order to provide patient safety and support to the nursing staff.

Objectives:
examine Paulo Freire’s research itinerary as a theoretical-methodological framework and its contributions for promoting health in the teaching profession.
Methods:
qualitative participatory action research coordinated with Paulo Freire’s itinerary, carried out in culture circles, from April 18, 2018 to June 26, 2018. It involved the participation of 21 teachers from a federal teaching institution.
Results:
the method that was used promoted dialogue and reflection among the participants, enabling a health promotion intervention. It facilitated self-knowledge and reflection, resulting in significant changes in the participants, in a process in pursuit that seeks transformations.
Final Considerations:
Paulo Freire’s research itinerary was opportune, as a possibility for promoting health, mainly in terms of providing a framework that assists in the practical construction of knowledge and encourages participants to examine their reality in the pursuit of enhanced quality of life.

Objectives:
to know the meaning attributed by family members to the health safety of pediatric patients, with attention to the possibilities of their collaboration.
Methods:
this qualitative study was conducted with eighteen family members of children hospitalized in a pediatric unit, from January to July 2018. Symbolic Interactionism was used as a theoretical framework, and Inductive Content Analysis as method.
Results:
child hospitalization poses risks to possible incidents and adverse events. Participants and professionals are responsible for patient safety. Thus, their actions focus on error prevention. Therefore, they seek information and observe in a vigil way professional care in classic aspects of safety. They conceive essential and favoring safety the approach centered on children and family members.
Final Considerations:
family members recognized the chances of errors and care damage, identified themselves as support in minimizing damage and were in partnership with the professional, increasing chances of effecting safety.

Objective:
to assess elderly people’s quality of life, understanding the social representations of falls.
Methods:
a convergent mixed methods research carried out at homes, with a sample of 134 elderly people. A structured questionnaire was used, covering sociodemographic variables and factors that indicated frailty and risk of falling. For quality of life assessment, Medical Outcomes Study Short-Form 36 and Theory of Social Representations, Abric’s structural approach were used, with data treated by dictionary of equivalent terms, processed in Evoc 2000, converging analytically according to Neuman.
Results:
quality of life impairment was identified in terms of physical, emotional and functional capacity. The elements of the possible central nucleus were fall, fear, and bruised-broken-bone.
Final considerations:
quality of life impairment can contribute to increase the number of falls, which has been shown to be an event present in elderly people’s lives through evocations. Understanding elderly people’s individual demands allows planning actions.

Objectives:
to understand how the dramatic therapeutic play session occurs within the care of hospitalized children.
Methods:
qualitative multiple case study, using theoretical references, such as symbolic interactionism and Vygotsky’s theory of symbolic play. Twenty play sessions performed with six children from 3 to 10 years old were analyzed, each corresponding to one case.
Results:
these sessions demonstrated that a dramatic therapeutic play session is a process of four interdependent and complementary steps: bonding, exploring, dramatizing, and play cessation. They also revealed the imaginary situations externalized by the child, the importance of the exploration step for which they manage the imaginary situation and catharsis, and how her higher psychological faculties are articulated during this process.
Final Considerations:
the results contribute to the understanding of the conduct and analysis of the dramatic therapeutic play session, reinforcing the importance of its use in pediatric nursing care practice.

Objectives:
to analyze how the nurse-midwives of maternity wards that were fields of practice for an improvement course in obstetrics have reorganized care in the context of labor and birth amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods:
this is a descriptive, exploratory and qualitative study carried out with nine nurse-midwives who are preceptors and collaborators in maternity wards that were fields of practice for an improvement course, between February and April 2020, through a semi-structured interview through WhatsApp®. Content analysis was used to treat the information.
Results:
the pandemic brought the need to reorganize work, with a focus on service training and maintenance of good practices in labor and birth, whose movement was intensely experienced, interfering in nurse-midwives’ mental health.
Conclusion:
nurse-midwives have faced the pandemic with concerns about maintaining safe care, focused on practices based on updated scientific evidence.

Objectives:
to describe the process of construction and validity of a School Nursing Guide for student health promotion.
Methods:
a methodological study, carried out from February to December 2021, composed of Convergent Care Research based on Pender’s Health Promotion Model. Based on the literature and dialogue with 11 nurses in the seven online focus groups, actions were constructed. Subsequently, 24 judges assessed content and appearance.
Results:
the guide proposes strategies for developing school nursing practices focusing on health promotion. The Appearance Validity Index ranged from 0.63 to 1.0, and the total was 0.84. The Content Validity Index ranged from 0.95 to 1.0, and the total was 0.997.
Conclusions:
the guide incorporated the needs of young people recognized by professionals, and the assessment phase confirms its validity, and can be used in the context of practice with young people.

Objectives: To
reflect about education in health and work process on three programs of multiprofessional residency in Florianópolis/SC.
Method:
Reflexive study about Multiprofessional Residency Health Programs of Florianópolis.
Results:
Multiprofessional Residency characterizes training health professionals through service education. Developing these professionals’ specialization with assignments that promote professional exercise and magnifies multiprofessional work at the same time, for excellency in unabridged healthcare.
Final Considerations:
Multiprofessional Residency Programs make interdisciplinary education, sharing knowledge between residents and other professionals stimulating development of innovation skills.
