Objectives:
to reflect on the impacts of the General Personal Data Protection Law on Nursing practice.
Methods:
reflection article, through the intentional collection of materials relating to the topic.
Results:
legislation regulates confidentiality, processing and data sharing, requiring institutional protection measures. The nursing team is responsible for acting preventively, both in care and in the management role, in order to avoid the misuse of the patient’s personal data. The law allows academic research to be carried out as long as the purpose is clear, data collection occurs with an explicit purpose and data is anonymized.
Final Considerations:
although the General Personal Data Protection Law requires greater care in relation to data processing, it is established on precepts of good faith and respect for the rights of the individual, concepts aligned with the nursing code of ethics.

Results:
of the 9 selected studies, all are Brazilian and published from 2014 onwards. Among the topics addressed are the role, challenges, costs and difficulties in nurse auditors’ daily work process, in addition to the contribution of the audit sector in Brazil.
Conclusions:
the studies gathered discuss aspects related to costs, challenges and difficulties, but there is no focus on corrective, disciplinary and educational activities as well as little is said about the audit process, its reporting, referral and outcomes.

Objectives:
to reflect on the ethical dilemmas involved in the care of patients at the end of their lives.
Methods:
this is a theoretical-reflective study based on the ethics of care proposed by Luigina Mortari.
Results:
discussing care involves addressing the ways of being inherent to human existence and understanding the unique characteristics of this condition. Ethical care constitutes an action driven by interest in the other and by the perception of their need. Ethical dilemmas are a part of end-of-life care, making it essential to maintain respectful assistance that considers the patient’s autonomy, using strategies for expressing their wishes, and ensuring continuous clear and empathetic communication among all those involved in providing care.
Final Considerations:
issues related to being, stemming from one’s reality of dependency and vulnerability, contribute to the emergence of ethical dilemmas present in care actions.

Objective:
analyze the pertinence of calls made by obstetric users of the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU 192) of Botucatu-SP.
Method:
retrospective and analytical research. All records of prehospital obstetric care delivered by the SAMU 192 in 2012 were analyzed. To be considered responsive, calls should lead to referral to a reference obstetric hospital or be classified with the colors red, orange and yellow, according to risk criteria defined by the Ministry of Health.
Results:
considering the two outcomes evaluated: referral to a reference hospital and risk criteria defined by the Ministry of Health, 6.7% and 75.6% of the calls were not pertinent, respectively. There was no matching between outcomes, neither variation between primiparas and multiparas as regards the call pertinence.
Conclusion:
this study ratifies the need for implementing a risk classification protocol in obstetrics, and support managers in the organization, qualification and effective implementation of the Rede Cegonha.

Objective:
to know and analyze the experiences of women who developed an episode of Severe Maternal Morbidity.
Method:
this is a qualitative study, in which we interviewed 16 women admitted to a tertiary level hospital, as a result of this morbid state. We used content analysis in data processing.
Results:
two categories were identified: “Understanding maternal morbidity as a negative presence” and “Moving ahead: on constant alert”. The interviewees mentioned negative aspects, such as treatment difficulties and hospitalization, feelings of fear, concern for the fetus, frustration with the idealized pregnancy, trauma; and positive aspects, such as learning and the expression of the divine will in the experience of illness.
Conclusion:
effective care during the prenatal period, delivery and postpartum period should provide adequate support for the prevention and assistance in Severe Maternal Morbidity.

Objective:
to identify costs of dressings to prevent sacral pressure ulcers in an adult intensive care unit in Paraná, Brazil.
Methods:
secondary analysis study with 25 patients admitted between October 2013 and March 2014, using transparent polyurethane film (n=15) or hydrocolloid dressing (n=10) on the sacral region. The cost of each intervention was based on the unit amount used in each type of dressing, and its purchase price (transparent film = R$15.80, hydrocolloid dressing = R$68.00).
Results:
the mean cost/patient was R$23.17 for use of transparent film and R$190.40 for use of hydrocolloid dressing. The main reason for changing the dressing was detachment.
Conclusion:
the transparent film was the most economically advantageous alternative to prevent sacral pressure ulcers in critical care patients. However, additional studies should be carried out including assessment of the effectiveness of both dressings.

Objective:
identify the prevalence and factors associated with smoking in tobacco growers.
Method:
descriptive, cross-sectional research. Data collection occurred in 2012 through household survey and interviews, including application of a structured instrument and scale Fargeström.
Results:
there were 100 growers included, average age of 46,9 ± 10,8 years; 90(90%) married; 72(72%) white, average family composition 3,7±1,1 people; median number of children 3(1-3), and the average study time 6±2,5. The prevalence of smoking among tobacco growers was 17%, which had less education (p=0.010) and fewer people in the household (p=0.049).
Conclusion:
the prevalence of smoking among tobacco growers was higher than the national average, but the nicotine dependence was low, which can facilitate the smoking cessation process. Highlights the need to implement a program to control smoking among tobacco growers.

Objective:
to understand the meaning attributed by the family to its experience in the recovery process of a child affected by an acute disease after discharge, and to develop a theoretical model of this experience. Symbolic interactionism was adopted as a theoretical reference, and grounded theory was adopted as a methodological reference.
Method:
data were collected through interviews and participant observation with 11 families, totaling 15 interviews. A theoretical model consisting of two interactive phenomena was formulated from the analysis: Mobilizing to restore functional balance and Suffering from the possibility of a child’s readmission.
Results:
the family remains alert to identify early changes in the child’s health, in an attempt to avoid rehospitalization.
Conclusion:
the effects of the disease and hospitalization continue to manifest in family functioning, causing suffering even after the child’s discharge and recovery.

Results:
202 terms were identified in terms, with an overall frequency of 1156. Of the 202 terms, 16 were more frequent and were used to construct the nursing diagnoses. The diagnoses identified were knowledge about appropriate sexual behavior, ability for partial protection, fear of death and hopelessness.
Conclusion:
