Objective:
To evaluate the culture of patient safety in a mental health service.
Method:
Cross-sectional study conducted with health professionals in a mental hospital, by applying the Safety Attitudes Questionnaire (SAQ). Descriptive and inferential analyses were performed.
Results:
One-hundred and three professionals participated in the study, with female predominance (64.1%) and time of performance equal to or greater than 21 years (32.4%). The nursing professionals of technical level and with statutory work regime were the most participative, 54.4% and 52% respectively. The total score was 69 points. The domain that reached the highest score was Job satisfaction (80 points) and the lowest was Working conditions (57 points). The statutory professionals and those with longer professional experience obtained better scores in the perception of safety culture.
Conclusion:

Objective:
to evaluate the postural balance, cognition and functional autonomy of older adults with dementia, who are long-stay inpatients, subjected to ballroom dancing.
Method:
simple randomized clinical study. Older adult sample: control group (30) and experimental group (30). The groups were subjected to the protocol of functional autonomy for activities of daily living; to the assessment of cognition (mini-mental state examination); and to the analysis of postural balance (stabilometric and postural platforms). The analysis of variance with repeated measures for group and time factors, and Scheffé’s post hoc test were used, with significance of p < 0.05.
Results:
For the mini-mental state examination, the control group presented a 24.27 mean, and the experimental 22.75. Functional autonomy for activities of daily living – experimental: 54.47 ± 7.24 (p < 0.0001) x control: 61.77 ± 8.47 (p = 0.011). Postural balance – experimental: = 3.16 ± 3.44 (p = 0.02) x control = X = 6.30 ± 7.62 (p = 0.04).
Conclusion:
Ballroom dancing can be recommended for older adults to provide improvement in their balance and motor performance of the activities of daily living.

Methods:
a pre-experimental design with one group pre and post-test design was used. The samples were 15 post-open cholecystectomy patients which were selected using the purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using the instrument observation sheet and analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Early ambulation used standard operational procedure in the hospital and dhikr therapy was carried out at 2 hours post-operation for 10-15 minutes.
Results:
there was an effect of early ambulation and dhikr therapy on intestinal peristaltic recovery in post-open cholecystectomy patients with general anesthesia (Z=-3.442; p=0.001).
Conclusions:
a combination of early ambulation and dhikr therapy can be recommended as interventions to improve intestinal peristaltic in a post-open cholecystectomy patient with general anesthesia.

Methods:
methodological research with a qualitative approach. Data were collected between June and October 2022, in 25 Basic Health Units, with 41 nurses interviewed individually. Thematic content analysis was carried out to guide technology elaboration.
Results:
three empirical categories were organized, demonstrating the facilities and difficulties in tuberculosis management, the conceptions about educational technology as a facilitator of the teaching-learning process in Primary Health Care and participatory development of technology. Nurses were in favor of constructing an instructional guide technology, and made suggestions to encourage its creation and use in daily service routine.
Final considerations:
the participatory process made it possible to create technology to assist nurses in the teaching-learning process in Primary Health Care about caring for people with tuberculosis.

Objective:
To evaluate levels of occupational stress and work engagement among primary health care workers.
Method:
A descriptive, correlational and transversal study was carried out in a small municipality in the countryside of São Paulo, with a non-probabilistic sample of convenience, with 85 workers. Three self-applied instruments were used: one developed by researchers, containing sociodemographic variables; Work Stress Scale (WSS) and Utrech Work Engagement Scale (UWES).
Results:
Prevalence of women (72.6%), 40 years old or more (45.9%), 4 years and 4 months of mean working time in primary care. Thirty-one workers (36.5%) presented significant stress (scores ≥2.5). Work engagement showed a mean of 4.1 (±1.2) to 4.4 (±1.4), classified as high in all dimensions. Occupational stress and work engagement correlated negatively.
Conclusion:
Workers presented high levels of work engagement; more than one-third had significant occupational stress. Workers with high levels of occupational stress tend to have lower work engagement.

Methods:
Integrative literature review that followed a predefined protocol, carried out from March to May 2019 in the platforms EBSCO, B-On, Scopus, Web of Science, and Joanna Briggs Institute. Descriptors and eligibility criteria were defined for the bibliographic sample, which was ten articles. The search was limited to articles published between 2015 and 2019 to guarantee evidence topicality.
Results:
The needs of caregivers related to transitional care can be grouped into five categories: needs in the transition into the role of caregiver; needs related to self-care of caregivers themselves; health needs; economic needs; and social and collective needs.
Final considerations:

Objectives:
to present the nurses’ experience with technological tools to support the early identification of sepsis.
Methods:
experience report before and after the implementation of artificial intelligence algorithms in the clinical practice of a philanthropic hospital, in the first half of 2018.
Results:
describe the motivation for the creation and use of the algorithm; the role of the nurse in the development and implementation of this technology and its effects on the nursing work process.
Final Considerations:
technological innovations need to contribute to the improvement of professional practices in health. Thus, nurses must recognize their role in all stages of this process, in order to guarantee safe, effective and patient-centered care. In the case presented, the participation of the nurses in the technology incorporation process enables a rapid decision-making in the early identification of sepsis.
