Objective:
to analyze the perceptions of nursing undergraduate students on their self-aging process.
Method:
qualitative study carried out between August and September, 2011 with 18 nursing undergraduate students of a public university in Salvador, Bahia. The interviews were analyzed by means of the Content Analysis method.
Results:
the following thematic concept was apprehended: Perceptions of nursing undergraduates on their self-aging, which generated two subcategories: A) The “don’t think about it” process; B) The context infl uencing the process.
Conclusion:
undergraduates reveal that the aging process is an intrinsic factor to human development. Family ties, spirituality and physical activity would be key mechanisms toward active aging. However, students also reported that their accelerated and stressed social lifestyles led to inadequate habits, such as the consumption of fast food and alcohol, which become negative infl uences in their aging process.

Objectives:
to know nurses’ perceptions about their work process in a Mobile Emergency Care Service.
Methods:
qualitative study conducted with 12 nurses whose speeches were submitted to Content Analysis.
Results:
there are weaknesses related to overload of activities, numerous functions, indirect supervision, risk situations, difficulties in relationship with hospitals, lack of vehicles and professionals, inappropriate places to provide care and lack of knowledge of the population about urgent and emergency care. Potentials were associated with effective interpersonal relationships, continuing training, security when arriving at the place of care, care protocol and taste for what you do.
Final Considerations:
the identified weaknesses need to be noted by managers and nurses. Thus, they would seek to establish actions to diminish them and maximize potentials, which could improve patient care as well as reduce occupational risks and, in turn, promote workers’ well-being.

Objective:
To create specialized nursing terminology for the care of people with COVID-19.
Methods:
Methodological study, carried out based on the identification of concepts related to the care of the person with the infection, present in the official guidelines of the Brazilian Ministry of Health; the concepts were validated by three specialist nurses; and a cross-mapping of the extracted concepts was done with CIPE® 2019 primitive concepts.
Results:
Out of 436 unique concepts, being 399 of these validated; of these, 70.9% were in the Classification and referred to the nursing care of people with COVID-19. In the Axis, the concepts related to Focus, Action, and Environment stood out. As for the non-validated concepts, 78.4% were not included in the 2019 version of CIPE®.
Conclusion:
We were able to structure a specialized CIPE® terminology, with the potential to generate nursing care indicators for people with COVID-19.

Objective:
To identify the nursing staff’s difficulties in providing care in psychosocial rehabilitation to CAPS users.
Methods:
Qualitative study based on constructionism. Sixteen members of the CAPS nursing staff participated in the study in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The data collected in the interviews and observations were organized in Nvivo software and analyzed based on thematic content.
Results:
The difficulties identified were: the territorial violence that imposes a silence to the actions of CAPS, low user education as a barrier to protagonism, impaired family adhesion, the technical-conceptual discomfort of nursing in acting in the crisis and material and human of CAPS dismantlement.
Final considerations:
The challenges consist of overcoming staff exhaustion; however, they do not prevent nursing from betting on the possibility of protagonist care. Therefore, such care is dimensioned by the clinical-political-ethical relation in constant negotiation with the territory.

Objective:
to describe the main evidence available in the literature on safe practices in the prevention and care of skin lesions in newborns admitted to Neonatal Intensive Care Units.
Methods:
integrative literature review in the PubMed, BDENF, LILACS, MEDLINE, SciELO and Cochrane Library databases between 2013 and 2018. We included primary articles on: lesion prevention and skin care in newborns in Portuguese, English or Spanish and excluded editorials, thesis, dissertations and duplicate articles. For the evidence level, we used the Melnyk and Fineout-Overholt classification, which classifies studies between weak to strong evidence.
Results:
a total of 10 articles with moderate to weak evidence on thermoregulation, bathing, lesion prevention, use of patches and skin antisepsis.
Final considerations:
there was a shortage of publications with high evidence, and it is necessary to invest in research that seeks to support safer skin care practices.

Objective:
to analyze the postnatal care practices of newborns in the family context from the scientific literature.
Methods:
the searches of the integrative literature review were carried out in the Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), Nursing Database (BDENF), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), and U.S. National Library of Medicine (PubMed) databases.
Results:
sixteen studies composed the final sample and, from these, two analytical categories emerged: Practices and doubts of families in postnatal care of newborns; and Best practices in postnatal care of newborns.
Final considerations:
several cultural practices of families differ from scientific recommendations, which can generate risks to the health of newborns. Therefore, it is essential to consolidate educational programs with family members, to improve the quality of care offered and to reduce preventable neonatal deaths in different socio-family contexts.
