Objective:
To analyze the configuration of power relations among the multiprofessional team in the bedside round process in the hospital.
Methods:
Qualitative research with data analyzed through discourse analysis, based on Michel Foucault’s theoretical framework. From September to December 2022, we conducted interviews and field observations with the multiprofessional team at a hospital in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, as well as qualitative, semi-structured interviews with 37 professionals.
Results:
The participants pointed out that the experiences of the professionals involved in bedside rounds depend on how the physician conducts the process, and the physician-centered process makes it difficult for other professionals in the team to participate.
Final considerations:
The way hospitals organize bedside rounds does not promote knowledge articulation for their professionals. It hinders the circulation of power and harms interdisciplinary work in a process that maintains the physician as the main actor in clinical decisions.

Objectives:
to integrate evidence from studies on auditory perceptual and speech production effects in communication situations with face mask use.
Methods:
an integrative literature review, in MEDLINE, Cochrane Library and Embase databases. The guiding question was: what effects on communication (perceptual-auditory and speech production) occur with face mask use?
Results:
searches in electronic databases resulted in 1,478 studies and filtering resulted in 29 final studies.
Conclusions:
mask use has effects on communication, both in perception and speech production, factors that are also related to quality of life, stress and socio-emotional factors. These data can impact on indicators and alerts in favor of adopting strategies to manage mask use, involving speech production and perception when wearing a mask in health services.

Objective:
To determine the level of self-compassion and investigate the relationships between sociodemographic variables and self-compassion among undergraduate nursing students at a state university in Indonesia during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
Methods:
This study used a cross-sectional design. Samples were selected using a proportionate stratified random sampling technique (n=260). Data were collected using an Indonesian version of the Self-compassion Scale, which consists of 6 subscales: self-kindness, self-judgment, common humanity, isolation, mindfulness, and overidentification. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analysis.
Results:
60% of students had moderate self-compassion. Students scored the highest in self-kindness (3,93±1,02) and over-identification (3,58±0,94), indicating that they often tried to love themselves when they felt emotional pain and often get carried away when something upsetting happened. Subsequently, a significant correlation was found between age and self-compassion (p<0.05).
Conclusion:
Self-compassion among nursing students should be improved through interventions such as compassion literacy, mindfulness training, and compassion-based experiential techniques.

Objective:
To analyze how social representations of hospital and community care are structured in two groups of nursing students – 1st and 4th years.
Method:
Qualitative research oriented by the Theory of Social Representations. We used a questionnaire with Free Association of Words. Data were analyzed in the Software IRaMuTeQ 0.6 alpha 3.
Results:
We applied the method of Descending Hierarchical Classification and obtained four classes. Class 4 has the largest social representation (30.41%) within the corpus. The two organizational axes are nurse and disease/patient in the central core. On the periphery are the care and help related to the nurse and the treatment and prevention associated with the disease.
Conclusion:
Social representations focus on disease/patient and on the role of nurses in the treatment, prevention, and care. Health promotion and the social determinants of health are absent from the social representations of students.

Objective:
understand how farmers identify positive and negative impacts of family farming work on the environment and conserve the environmental health.
Method:
a qualitative study with 129 farmers from Ilha dos Marinheiros, Rio Grande, Brazil. Secondary data and recorded interviews were used in this study, with subsequent analysis performed by Bardin and NVivo10, both based on Enrique Leff’s cultural rationality.
Results:
the positive impacts included food production with responsibility, work appreciation, and the correct, minimum or inexistent insertion of agrochemicals. The negative aspects included excessive and incorrect use of agrochemicals and absent farming knowledge.
Conclusion:
environmental conservation consisted in reducing impacts that could have a negative effect on health, while performing work activities.
