Objectives:
to understand the nursing team’s perception in relation to the care provided to pregnant women with mental disorders admitted to a psychiatric hospital unit.
Methods:
Convergent Care Research carried out between August and December 2021, through semi-structured interviews with 25 nursing professionals from a Psychiatric Unit from a reference Hospital in Southern Brazil.
Results:
the organized and analyzed data resulted in two thematic categories: Technical, generic and impersonal care; and From impersonality to the singularity of nursing care. Ensuring unique care for pregnant women with mental disorders means giving them a meaning of existence and providing care from a multidimensional and continuous perspective.
Final Considerations:
nursing care for pregnant women in psychiatric hospitalization requires continuous professional qualification, interactive technologies and support for the nursing process, in addition to promoting singular and multidimensional care.

Objectives:
to understand the perceptions of women and health professionals regarding childbirth care at a teaching hospital in the western state of Paraná, Brazil.
Methods:
this qualitative study employed Grounded Theory, conducted in an obstetric care service with 38 participants (women and health professionals) through semi-structured interviews.
Results:
limitations in physical infrastructure and management of care, along with the women’s limited knowledge about the childbirth process and the decision-making and guidance of professionals, show conflicting obstetric practices-a discrepancy between good practices and obstetric violence. Training in obstetric nursing and active participation in care, alongside the presence of a companion, were identified as intervening conditions and strategies in the process.
Final Considerations:
childbirth care is characterized by dichotomous practices. While some professionals base their practices on scientific evidence, others rely on teachings and experiences from the time of their training.

Objectives:
to characterize the sociodemographic and psychological aspects of university students who sought psychiatric care at a Student Support Center of a Federal University and to analyze associations between mental health issues and predisposing factors.
Methods:
a retrospective analysis of 103 medical records was conducted. The statistical analysis consisted of two steps: a descriptive analysis and a predictive analysis using the Logistic Regression Model.
Results:
the majority of the students were female. Symptoms of anxiety, depression, and insomnia were the main reasons for seeking care. Students who reported having emotional difficulties that negatively impacted their studies and those who had undergone some form of health treatment showed a higher probability of experiencing anxiety symptoms. Notable correlations were found between anxiety and emotional difficulties, depression and diarrhea, and insomnia and a sedentary lifestyle.
Conclusions:
symptoms of anxiety, depression, and insomnia led students to seek psychiatric care at the university. Understanding the predisposing factors for mental health issues in university students can inform care strategies and promote academic success.

Methods:
qualitative, historical, oral research, with interviews with the journal’s editors. Statements were categorized and presented in three decades, discussed from Foucault’s archaeological perspective.
Results:
seven statements presented three discourses. In the first decade, the discourse of knowledge registration and circulation presented statements of graduate studies and professional recognition. In the second decade, knowledge internationalization was added, with statements of business and editorial panopticism, selection criteria, indexing and digitalization. Finally, the discourse of shifting scientific assessment centrality was added with statements of preprint, open science, exclusive digitalization and mediatization of science.
Final Considerations:
the journal needed to adapt to form its official discourse, which made it possible, over the years, to change its initial peripheral position to a central one within scientific communication, supporting its panoptic role.

Objectives:
to identify the strategies found in the literature for increasing vaccination coverage among children in Brazil. It is justified mainly by the current scenario of falling vaccination coverage.
Methods:
systematic literature review. The search was carried out in the Pubmed (MEDLINE), Embase and Scopus databases, following the PRISMA guidelines.
Results:
initially, 4,824 results were returned. In the end, 6 studies were included for narrative synthesis using the SWiM methodology. Of these, 50% dealt with studies related to the Bolsa Família Program (PBF). The others explored strategies for approaching parents directly, Rapid Vaccination Monitoring (MRV) and the Community Health Agents Program (PACS). The PBF did not guarantee compliance with the conditionality of keeping vaccinations up to date. The MRV and PACS are effective strategies, especially because they allow active search for absentees.
Conclusions:
we conclude that more publications are needed on strategies to increase vaccination coverage among children in Brazil.

Objectives:
to analyze the relationship between the nursing practice environment and hospital sociotechnical complexity as perceived by nurses.
Methods:
a sequential explanatory mixed-methods study was conducted in a hospital in southern Brazil. The Brazilian version of the Practice Environment Scale-Nursing Work Index and the Complexity Characterization Questionnaire were administered to 132 nurses. Subsequently, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 18 participants, and the data were subjected to thematic analysis. Data integration was achieved through a connection approach.
Results:
the nursing practice environment was found to be favorable, except in the subscale concerning Staffing and Resource Adequacy, where complexity was present in the activities. The three emerging categories explained human and technical aspects related to complexity in the practice environment, quality of care, and patient safety. Unexpected variability was inversely correlated with the practice environment.
Conclusions:
the study results indicate a relationship between these constructs, with implications for the quality and the safety of care.

Objective:
to evaluate the completeness of perinatal death investigation sheets, stratified by age components.
Method:
descriptive study carried out in Recife, PE, in 2014. Among 308 perinatal deaths, 46 were excluded from this study due to association with congenital malformations, and 7 due to missing investigation sheets. Analysis included 255 deaths (160 fetal deaths, and 95 preterm neonatal deaths). The degree of completeness of 98 variables was calculated. They were aggregated into six blocks: identification, prenatal care, birth care, family characteristics, occurrence of death and conclusions and recommendations.
Results:
the median rate of completeness for perinatal death investigation sheets was 85.7% (82.8% for records of fetal deaths and 89.5% for records of preterm neonatal deaths). The best-filled information block was “identification” (96.1%), as well as its components: fetal (94.7%) and preterm neonatal (97.9%). The worst was “prenatal care” (69.8%), along with its components: fetal (73.8%) and preterm neonatal (67.4%).
Conclusion:
investigation sheets had good completeness; there were differences between variables and components of perinatal death.

Objective:
To describe the experience of using participatory photographic research methods to engage nurses and researchers in a collaborative study to improve medication safety conditions, particularly in patients with feeding tubes in a nursing home for the elderly (NHE).
Method:
This qualitative study was conducted in Brazil and proceeded in iterative phases of visual and textual data collection and analysis. Interviews, subsequent nurse-led photo-narrated walkabouts, and photo elicitation were used with nurses.
Results:
The need to transform the work design and the workplace to improve medication safety and improving medication processes through effective communication was identified. Unsafe workforce is a challenge in achieving safe medication administration practices; and lack of a patient safety culture is a barrier for adaptive learning and growth.
Conclusion:
Our findings demonstrated the effectiveness of a restorative research approach for supporting nurses to study and act on medication safety.
