Objectives:
to identify how first-year nursing students use cyberspace and propose an orientation guide with criteria guiding the use of cyberspace.
Methods:
qualitative and descriptive research, carried out with 24 nursing students from a federal public institution in Rio de Janeiro. Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews. Data analysis occurred using IRAMUTEQ®. The research was approved by the institution’s Research Ethics Committee.
Results:
students use cyberspace to communicate, study, find “cool things”, share photos and memories. Furthermore, they are concerned about hate speech, intolerance and fake news. The good and bad sides and the types of technologies most used were also portrayed.
Final considerations:
the moral and ethical values of physical coexistence, together with awareness of individual responsibility, are the pillars for using cyberspace. The guide comes as an awareness tool.

Objective:
To analyze the configuration of power relations among the multiprofessional team in the bedside round process in the hospital.
Methods:
Qualitative research with data analyzed through discourse analysis, based on Michel Foucault’s theoretical framework. From September to December 2022, we conducted interviews and field observations with the multiprofessional team at a hospital in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, as well as qualitative, semi-structured interviews with 37 professionals.
Results:
The participants pointed out that the experiences of the professionals involved in bedside rounds depend on how the physician conducts the process, and the physician-centered process makes it difficult for other professionals in the team to participate.
Final considerations:
The way hospitals organize bedside rounds does not promote knowledge articulation for their professionals. It hinders the circulation of power and harms interdisciplinary work in a process that maintains the physician as the main actor in clinical decisions.

Objective:
To analyze, in the speeches of nurses, the habitus that conforms their professional identity in the primary health care area.
Method:
Qualitative study, carried out from March to October 2015, with nurses of primary healthcare units in the cities of Cajazeiras, in the state of Paraíba, and Maracanaú, in the state of Ceará. Data were collected by means of semi-structured interviews, and analyzed through discourse analysis.
Results:
Nurses, in their practice and perception, perceive that professional identity is linked to the meaning that involves the word “everything”. This situation constitutes a habitus that directs the range of daily actions, often distant from the profession’s core of knowledge.
Final considerations:
Trying to be and do everything in primary health care involves negative repercussions in the professional identity of nurses. Strategic guidance is necessary in order to achieve and embrace elements that reflect the essence of this category.

Objective:
To analyze the existence of a relationship between burnout and depressive symptoms among intensive care unit nursing staff.
Method:
A quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study with 91 intensive care nurses. Data collection used a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Maslach Burnout Inventory – Human Services Survey, and the Beck Depression Inventory – I. The Pearson test verified the correlation between the burnout dimension score and the total score from the Beck Depression Inventory. Fisher’s exact test was used to analyze whether there is an association between the diseases.
Results:
Burnout was presented by 14.29% of the nurses and 10.98% had symptoms of depression. The higher the level of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization, and the lower professional accomplishment, the greater the depressive symptoms. The association was significant between burnout and depressive symptoms.
Conclusion:
Nurses with burnout have a greater possibility of triggering depressive symptoms.
