Objective:
To analyze the contributions of the Brazilian Nursing Association and the Federal and Regional Nursing Councils in the literature for the professionalization of nursing in the light of Eliot Freidson’s theoretical conceptions.
Methods:
Integrative review of the literature, of socio-professional historical interest, carried out from June to November 2021, through the question: How did professional associations contribute to the professionalization of Brazilian nursing according to the literature from 2010 to 2020? The evidence were organized in a synoptic table, which allowed the construction of a conceptual map.
Results:
In the 23 selected studies, the professional associations presented scientific, social and political contributions, which shape the professional field of nursing, enabling knowledge/expertise, autonomy and self-regulation.
Final considerations:
The efforts of these institutions reaffirm nursing as an academic and consulting profession, capable of exerting control over the essence of nursing work. They strive to consolidate nursing as a legitimate professional field of health in Brazil.

Objectives:
to identify in scientific literature which simulated clinical scenarios were developed and validated for teaching and learning in nursing.
Methods:
integrative review, carried out in seven sources of information. The Rayyan program was used for selection, content analysis to explore the findings and the methodological assessment tool of the validity process, entitled Quality Appraisal tool for Validity Studies.
Results:
initially, 1,179 manuscripts were identified and 14 were part of the sample. Two categories were defined: Profile of simulated clinical scenarios produced in nursing; and Clinical skills developed and their assessment mechanisms.
Final Considerations:
there was a preponderance of high-fidelity scenarios, built in Brazil in the last five years, aimed at nursing students on the themes of emergency, maternal care and stomatherapy, addressing the assessment of cognitive, psychomotor and affective skills in nursing. Most studies obtained good methodological quality in their content validity process.

Objective:
To analyze the configuration of power relations among the multiprofessional team in the bedside round process in the hospital.
Methods:
Qualitative research with data analyzed through discourse analysis, based on Michel Foucault’s theoretical framework. From September to December 2022, we conducted interviews and field observations with the multiprofessional team at a hospital in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil, as well as qualitative, semi-structured interviews with 37 professionals.
Results:
The participants pointed out that the experiences of the professionals involved in bedside rounds depend on how the physician conducts the process, and the physician-centered process makes it difficult for other professionals in the team to participate.
Final considerations:
The way hospitals organize bedside rounds does not promote knowledge articulation for their professionals. It hinders the circulation of power and harms interdisciplinary work in a process that maintains the physician as the main actor in clinical decisions.

Objective:
to investigate what is the best anthropometric predictor of arterial hypertension among private school students.
Method:
this was a cross-sectional study with 286 students between the ages of 10 and 14 from two private schools in the city of Paranavaí, Paraná, Brazil. The following variables were analyzed: body mass index, waist circumference and blood pressure. Statistical analysis was conducted with Pearson’s partial correlation test and multivariate logistic regression, with p<0.05.
Results:
both anthropometric indicators displayed weak correlation with systolic and diastolic levels, with coeffi cients (r) ranging from 0.27 to 0.36 (p < 0.001). Multivariate analysis showed that the only anthropometric indicator associated with arterial hypertension was waist circumference (OR= 2.3; 95% CI: 1.1-4.5), regardless of age or gender.
Conclusion:
this age group, waist circumference appeared to be a better predictor for arterial hypertension than body mass index.

Objective:
this qualitative study aimed to analyze the perceptions of primary health care management nurses on the nursing process.
Method:
data were collected through interviews and analyzed by the Content Analysis proposed by Bardin’s theoretical framework.
Results:
managers recognize the importance of the nursing process, although its implementation was not a priority at the time of the interviews. A conceptual diffi culty and a lack of understanding that the implementation of the care methodology should be a cross-departmental action in the local healthcare management were clearly observed.
Conclusion:
managers should have their perspectives broadened concerning the relevance of the nursing process and the professional training. The active participation of legislative nursing bodies, local healthcare management and the federal government may open the way for the effective implementation of the nursing process.
