Objectives:
to synthesize and analyze evidence on intrauterine device insertion by nurses in Primary Health Care.
Methods:
an integrative review, carried out in the BDENF, CINAHL, LILACS, SciELO, Scopus, PubMed and Web of Science databases in June 2022, delimiting the period from 1960 to 2022.
Results:
141 articles were identified in the initial search, and 10 studies made up the final sample. Four (40%) were developed in the United States and one (10%) in Brazil, with publications from 1979 to 2021. The findings were grouped into three categories: Nurse training to insert an intrauterine device; Nurses’ competency to insert an intrauterine device; and Women’s access to intrauterine devices.
Conclusions:
nurse theoretical and practical training is a prominent element, consolidated in the favorable outcomes of insertions performed by nurses and satisfaction among women, a practice that has expanded access to the contraceptive method in Primary Health Care.

Objective:
to analyze health promotion programs in the supplementary health care.
Methods:
This was a multiple case study with a qualitative approach whose data were obtained from interviews with coordinators of providers contracted by the corporations of health insurance plans in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. The data were submitted to Critical Discourse Analysis.
Results:
Home care has been described as the main action in the fi eld of health promotion transferred to the providers, followed by management of patients and cases, and the health education.groups. The existence of health promotion principles is questionable in all programs. Outsourcing is marked by a process with a division between cost and care management. Implications of this process occur within admission and interventions on the needs of the benefi ciaries.
Conclusions:
Statements revealed rationalization of cost, restructuring of work, and reproduction of the dominant logic of capital accumulation by the health insurance companies.

Objective:
to analyze factors associated with Apgar of 5 minutes less than 7 of newborns of women selected for care at the Center for Normal Birth (ANC).
Method:
a descriptive cross-sectional study with data from 9,135 newborns collected between July 2001 and December 2012. The analysis used absolute and relative frequency frequencies and bivariate analysis using Pearson’s chi-square test or the exact Fisher.
Results:
fifty-three newborns (0.6%) had Apgar less than 7 in the 5th minute. The multivariate analysis found a positive association between low Apgar and gestational age less than 37 weeks, gestational pathologies and intercurrences in labor. The presence of the companion was a protective factor.
Conclusion:
the Normal Birth Center is a viable option for newborns of low risk women as long as the protocol for screening low-risk women is followed.

Objectives:
to analyze palliative care production developed by health professionals to home care patients.
Methods:
this is an exploratory study, with a qualitative approach, using the transpersonal care theoretical framework. Thirteen interviews were conducted with health professionals and 18 observations were conducted on different cases. Content analysis was performed using MAXQDA©.
Results:
actions performed: maintenance and follow-up measures to people eligible for palliative care, in acts of dialogue and “listening” to caregivers and users, conducting guidelines for the care and self-care process, performing technical procedures, delivery of materials, referrals and medical prescriptions to users.
Final Considerations:
it is perceived the need for advances in the implementation of government policies in Brazil that insert palliative care into the Health Care Network through educational, managerial and care actions that ensure human dignity, thus allowing the development of these and other palliative care interventions.

Objectives:
to understand how fake news has influenced adherence to Covid-19 immunization, from the perspective of health professionals.
Methods:
a qualitative, descriptive-exploratory study was conducted in Campo Grande – MS. Twenty nursing professionals working in vaccine rooms or managing immunobiologicals participated through semi-structured interviews. The interviews were audio-recorded, fully transcribed, and subjected to thematic content analysis.
Results:
two categories emerged in which the professionals highlighted an increase in vaccine hesitancy among the population, influenced by fake news and denialist actions, which negatively interfered with the population’s trust in vaccines and in the professionals administering them.
Final Considerations:
concerns about vaccine safety and denialist actions by authorities and media outlets can contribute to the phenomenon of non-vaccination. The valorization of science, the promotion of educational actions, and raising public awareness about immunization were presented as strategies to increase vaccine coverage

Objetives:
to analyze the ingredients of the competence that the nurses use in the performance of their work in hemotherapy.
Methods:
qualitative study with 22 nurses, accomplished through documentary study, observation and semi-structured interview, with resources of Atlas.ti software based on the foundations of Historical Materialism Dialectic and Ergology. Performed Content Analysis.
Results:
the domain of specific knowledge of hemotherapy and the time of experience in the area, allied to the motivation of the worker and the ability to work in a team favor the competent action in the work activities. On the other hand, the lack of adequate work conditions, especially in relation to adequate materials, equipment and structure, impairs the work of the nurse in hemotherapy.
Final Considerations:
experience gained is critical to successful decision making. In addition, adequate working conditions, updating of knowledge and ability in teamwork favor a scenario of safe practices.

Objective:
To present the limitations of the nursing care for women with fetal death, reflecting on this challenge for care practices.
Method:
Reflective study with theoretical focus on national and international publications, along with the experience of the authors in the area of women’s health and obstetrics.
Results:
There are limitations related to nursing care, which involve feelings of insecurity and powerlessness, inappropriate attitudes of these professionals in front of women, difficulties to manage emotional aspects, and structural problems of health services.
Final Considerations:
This study points out that there are challenges to qualify nursing care for women with fetal death, which included academic studies and continuing education in health services. Relational aspects should be valued and demand more sensitivity from nurses, with more empathic relationships in the care for women with fetal death.

Objectives:
to discuss care needs of wheelchair pregnant women in the light of Collière’s Theory of Caring.
Methods:
qualitative, descriptive, exploratory, with eight women, between August 2014 and March 2015, in Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil. The method of data collection was the life history. The theoretical reference used was Marie-Françoise Collière’s Theory of Caring. The thematic type analysis identified three categories: pregnancy planning; support and prejudice of family and health professionals; and caring for the wheelchair pregnant woman.
Results:
prejudice, fear, lack of support, lack of knowledge about the maintenance of pregnancy and childbirth interfered negatively in the process of gestation. Participants had urinary tract infection, miscarriages and preterm birth.
Final Considerations:
gestation in these women should predict possible intercurrences, which makes it imperative to train professionals in integral care to promote and protect health.

Objective:
to know innovative pedagogical experiences developed by professors in the teaching of psychiatric nursing and mental health in undergraduate nursing courses at public universities in Rio de Janeiro State.
Method:
based on an ethnomethodological approach, individual semi-structured interviews and document analysis were carried out according to content analysis.
Results:
despite the heterogeneity in the curriculum distribution of psychiatric nursing’s and mental health’s knowledge, the themes taught have similarities. The perceptions of innovation are mainly related to interdisciplinary practices and teaching, relational, and care technologies. Innovative teaching practices are focused on the use of active methodologies and collaborative activities.
Final considerations:
innovating teaching requires creating strategies to teach people how to care for people, valuing human uniqueness. Student participation in health services is the key to the dialogue between knowledge produced in academia and that mobilized in health services.

Objectives:
to analyze the concept of cardiovascular risk to support nursing practice.
Methods:
this is an analysis to define the concept of cardiovascular risk, through the use of eight steps of Walker’s and Avant’s framework, using a literature review in indexed scientific journals.
Results:
cardiovascular risk is defined in a broad and original way as a context of health and nursing care that makes it possible to identify modifiable (cardiometabolic, behavioral, psychosocial, cultural and occupational) and non-modifiable (biological) risk factors for cardiovascular diseases that act as early and interrelated markers, of multiple and heterogeneous etiology, predisposing to cardiovascular vulnerability.
Conclusions:
with the analysis and definition of the concept of cardiovascular risk, we realized that it will be possible to base nursing practice, with implications in clinical practice for identifying and reducing risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, with nursing relevance in the care of these subjects.

Objective:
Analyze the perception of elderly widow women about their health situation.
Method:
Descriptive and exploratory research, based on qualitative approach performed with 34 widowed women aged 60 years and over, enrolled in primary health care. It was used content analysis in its thematic analysis modality.
Results:
Three thematic nuclei were obtained: “positive self-perception of health in old age”, “negative understanding of health related to the diseases” and “negative repercussions of the absence of the husband in the health situation of the widows”. Presence of the family, chronic diseases under control, physical limitations and absence of the partner directly influenced the responses of the elderly widows.
Final considerations:
The elderly widows perceive their health situation as relatively good and some factors are challenges to a better health situation. For the participants, widowhood means more than just the physical loss of the husband, interfering negatively in the perception of their health situation.
