Created in 1932, is the official publication of the Brazilian Nursing Association (Associação Brasileira de Enfermagem – ABEn). It is the oldest of the Brazilian nursing journals and its mission is to disseminate scientific production from the varied areas of knowledge which is of interest to nursing professionals, including that one which expresses the political project of the Association.

Data collection was carried out in January 2021 and updated in July 2023 in the American Psychological Association, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, National Library of Medicine, and Scopus databases. Systematic reviews that assessed guidelines with recommendations for mental health care for workers were included. PROSPERO registration CRD42023461845.
Results:
four systematic reviews published between 2015 and 2018 were identified. The abstracts highlighted actions that facilitate and inhibit the recommendations as well as three categories of intervention: primary prevention – worker protection; secondary prevention – promoting workers’ mental health; and tertiary prevention – supporting, monitoring and rehabilitating workers upon returning to work.
Conclusions:
the interventions are based on prevention, promotion and early recognition, support and rehabilitation of mental health problems.

Objectives:
to analyze the psychometric properties of the ProQOL-BR instrument in hospital nursing professionals.
Methods:
a methodological study to validate the ProQOL-BR. Confirmatory factor analysis, assessment of local and global adjustment quality, Pearson hypothesis testing and Cronbach’s alpha internal consistency analysis were used.
Results:
a total of 490 professionals participated. The model presents adequate quality due to factor weights (λ≥ 0.40), acceptable overall fit quality and adequate chi-square ratio and degrees of freedom (χ2/g.1=2.51) for the parameters of CFI (0.923), GFI (0.902), TLI (0.914) and RMSEA (0.042). In terms of validity, it was shown to be adequate with CC=0.89. The internal consistency obtained by standardized Cronbach’s alpha was 0.761. Criterion validity was shown to be favorable with significant correlations (0.001).
Conclusions:
the instrument was validated regarding content, criteria and reliability. Three questions were removed from the original instrument, ProQOL-BR, leaving the final instrument with 25 questions.

the GerenciaDOR* project enables navigation through the Web App screens, providing access to pain assessment features up to the presentation of results.
Final Considerations:
the study describes a systematic approach to pain assessment and expands nurses’ knowledge in pain management. Additionally, it can promote the development of other digital technologies for chronic pain assessment and contribute to a multidisciplinary, patient centered treatment.

Results:
principles identified were the right to: freedom from harm and ill-treatment; information, informed consent, refusal of medical procedures, and respect for their choices and preferences including companion; be considered a person from birth, with dignified and respectful treatment; health at the highest possible level; newborns being with their parents or guardians. The Sustainable Development Goals for women by 2030 were not positively contemplated in postpartum women’s experience.
Final Considerations:
it is appropriate that health workers qualify themselves to provide respectful maternity care, with qualified listening, understanding, and resolution of unique demands of postpartum women with sickle cell disease, seeking equality in care for women.

Methods:
systematic literature review. The search was carried out in the Pubmed (MEDLINE), Embase and Scopus databases, following the PRISMA guidelines.
Results:
initially, 4,824 results were returned. In the end, 6 studies were included for narrative synthesis using the SWiM methodology. Of these, 50% dealt with studies related to the Bolsa Família Program (PBF). The others explored strategies for approaching parents directly, Rapid Vaccination Monitoring (MRV) and the Community Health Agents Program (PACS). The PBF did not guarantee compliance with the conditionality of keeping vaccinations up to date. The MRV and PACS are effective strategies, especially because they allow active search for absentees.
Conclusions:
we conclude that more publications are needed on strategies to increase vaccination coverage among children in Brazil.

Objectives:
to analyze films and documentaries about eating disorders from the last twenty years, identifying the way they approach the topic as well as their relevance for didactic use in teaching the health field.
Methods:
a descriptive study, whose data collection was carried out on the main streaming and video platforms, resulting in the survey of 60 media. Of these, only 25 had audio/subtitles in Portuguese (inclusion criteria). scientific relevance was analyzed considering psychopathological and epidemiological aspects of these disorders. A questionnaire about the plot, characters and descriptive data analysis were used.
Results:

Objectives:
to analyze films and documentaries about eating disorders from the last twenty years, identifying the way they approach the topic as well as their relevance for didactic use in teaching the health field.
Methods:
a descriptive study, whose data collection was carried out on the main streaming and video platforms, resulting in the survey of 60 media. Of these, only 25 had audio/subtitles in Portuguese (inclusion criteria). scientific relevance was analyzed considering psychopathological and epidemiological aspects of these disorders. A questionnaire about the plot, characters and descriptive data analysis were used.
Results:

Conclusions:

Objetivos:
describir el perfil de los ancianos que acceden a internet para buscar información de salud e identificar los factores que pueden influir en las decisiones de los ancianos sobre su salud a partir de la información recopilada en línea.
Métodos:
391 ancianos respondieron a un cuestionario online sobre hábitos y satisfacción con la información de salud recogida en internet. El procesamiento de datos implicó regresión logística.
Resultados:
la educación superior reduce en un 44% la probabilidad de que un anciano siga las recomendaciones de salud en los sitios web. Sin embargo, las actividades sociales y la salud autopercibida aumentan la posibilidad de seguir las recomendaciones en un 83% y un 71%, respectivamente. La creencia de que internet promueve hábitos saludables aumenta 29,2 veces la probabilidad de que un anciano siga un consejo.
Consideraciones Finales:
conocer el perfil de los ancianos que utilizan internet puede ayudar a los profesionales a formular políticas públicas y construir buenas plataformas de información sobre salud y bienestar.

Methods:
psychometric study, conducted from the stages of translation, synthesis, back-translation, review by a committee of seven experts, pre-test and evaluation of measurement properties with 32 and 238 nursing students, respectively. Descriptive statistics, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) were performed. The reliability of the instrument was estimated using McDonald’s Omega (ω).
Results:
EFA subsidized the distribution of the fifteen SNS-15 items into four factors. Using AFC, satisfactory fit indices were achieved (Comparative Fit Index = 0.94; Tucker-Lewis Index = 0.93; Root Mean Square Error of Approximation = 0.06; Standardized Root Mean Square Residual = 0.16) and ω = 0.86.
Conclusions:
the Brazilian version of the SNS-15 presents evidence that confirms its validity and reliability.

Objetivo:
identificar a prevalência e fatores associados à ansiedade e depressão em profissionais de enfermagem que atuam no enfrentamento da COVID-19 em hospital universitário.
Métodos:
estudo observacional transversal, com questionário sociodemográfico e Escala de Medida de Ansiedade e Depressão, com 88 profissionais de enfermagem. Os dados foram analisados por meio de frequência absoluta e relativa, utilizando o software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences.
Resultados:
houve prevalência de ansiedade (48,9%) e de depressão (25%). A maioria da amostra foi composta por mulheres, com mais de 40 anos, casadas ou em união estável, de cor branca, com ensino superior ou pós-graduação, com renda superior a R$3.000,00, concursadas, com regime de trabalho de 40 horas semanais e tempo de atuação no hospital de 1 a 5 anos.
Conclusão:
deve-se considerar o impacto na saúde mental da enfermagem acarretado pela COVID-19 e intervir com estratégias de enfrentamento para minimizar o sofrimento dos profissionais.

estudo observacional transversal, com questionário sociodemográfico e Escala de Medida de Ansiedade e Depressão, com 88 profissionais de enfermagem. Os dados foram analisados por meio de frequência absoluta e relativa, utilizando o software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences.
Resultados:
houve prevalência de ansiedade (48,9%) e de depressão (25%). A maioria da amostra foi composta por mulheres, com mais de 40 anos, casadas ou em união estável, de cor branca, com ensino superior ou pós-graduação, com renda superior a R$3.000,00, concursadas, com regime de trabalho de 40 horas semanais e tempo de atuação no hospital de 1 a 5 anos.
Conclusão:
deve-se considerar o impacto na saúde mental da enfermagem acarretado pela COVID-19 e intervir com estratégias de enfrentamento para minimizar o sofrimento dos profissionais.

Analisar a influência de fatores socioeconômicos, demográficos, epidemiológicos e da estrutura do sistema de saúde na evolução da pandemia da COVID-19 no Brasil.
Métodos:
Estudo ecológico com variáveis extraídas de bancos de dados, tendo a incidência e mortalidade por COVID 19 até 23 de agosto de 2020, nos estados brasileiros, como variáveis-resposta. A magnitude das associações foi estimada usando o coeficiente de correlação de Spearman e análise de regressão múltipla.
Resultados:
Nos estados brasileiros, 59,8% da variação da incidência de COVID-19 foi justificada pela desigualdade de renda, maior adensamento domiciliar e maior letalidade. No caso da mortalidade, essas mesmas variáveis explicaram 57,9% das variações encontradas nas Unidades Federativas do país.
Conclusão:
Nossos resultados indicam que fatores socioeconômicos influenciaram a evolução e impacto da COVID-19 no Brasil. Dessa forma, sugerimos ações abrangentes a fim de garantir condições econômicas e o fortalecimento das redes de saúde para populações com vulnerabilidade socioeconômica.

Objetivos:
analisar a prevalência de sintomas e sua relação com a qualidade de vida de pacientes com câncer.
Métodos:

Verificou-se fadiga (76,6%), insônia (47,7%), dor (42,1%), perda de apetite (37,4%), ansiedade (31,8%) e depressão (21,5%). Os sintomas de ansiedade e depressão apresentaram correlação negativa com qualidade de vida e correlação positiva com sintomas físicos.
Conclusões:
fadiga, insônia, dor e perda de apetite foram os sintomas mais frequentes e mais intensos. Sintomas de ansiedade e depressão mostraram correlação negativa com qualidade de vida e positiva com sintomas físicos.

The content and appearance of the booklet was validated by 23 judges divided into three groups: 11 content and appearance, seven technicians and five of the area of design and marketing. The appearance was validated by 30 people with type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.
Results:
the judges in the nursing area allowed the validation of material with a Content Validity Index (CVI) of 0.99, judges in the area of design and marketing with Suitability Assessment of Materials (SAM) of 99.2% and the target audience with concordance index of 99.4%.
Conclusion:

Objetivo:
Analisar a aplicabilidade da Escala de Braden a indivíduos internados em Unidade de Terapia Intensiva (UTI) com o diagnóstico de enfermagem “mobilidade do leito prejudicada”, em seu potencial de predição do desenvolvimento de lesão por pressão (LPP).
Métodos:
Estudo transversal, quantitativo, que avaliou, com a Escala de Braden, pacientes internados em uma UTI entre novembro de 2016 e fevereiro de 2017.
Resultados:
A prevalência de lesão por pressão foi 35,8% (24/67), no sexo masculino (58,3%; 14/24), com diagnóstico de acidente vascular encefálico (AVE) isquêmico (51,9%; 12/27) e com acidente vascular encefálico hemorrágico (7,4%; 2/27). Dentre os pacientes classificados com risco muito alto de desenvolver lesão por pressão, 83,3% (20/53) a desenvolveram e 76,7% (33/53) não a desenvolveram.
Conclusão:
O desempenho da Escala de Braden apresentou equilíbrio entre sensibilidade e especificidade, mostrando-se melhor instrumento preditivo de risco nessa clientela.

Results:
among the strategies, simulation, problem-based learning and flipped classroom were highlighted. The active search, the integration of theory and practice and group work were examples of contributions to the training of nurses. However, the lack of preparation of the actors and the lack of structural support contribute to the dissatisfaction of the students.
Final Considerations:
the active learning methodology places the student at the heart of the learning process, favors critical thinking and the ability to make decisions.

Objetivos:
analisar as representações sociais dos pacientes com câncer a respeito da cirurgia oncológica.
Métodos:
estudo qualitativo, fundamentado na Teoria das Representações Sociais, realizado com 126 participantes entre outubro de 2021 e maio de 2022 em um hospital público no Rio de Janeiro. Aplicaram-se o questionário de caracterização dos sujeitos, as evocações livres do termo indutor“cirurgia”e a entrevista semiestruturada com 60 participantes. Os dados foram analisados utilizando Microsoft Excel® e IRaMuTeQ.
Resultados:
o núcleo central da representação é formado por medo, cura, esperança e retira a doença. A análise das entrevistas originou seis classes, evidenciando as modificações sociais provocadas pelo tratamento, além da necessidade da rede de apoio para lidar com o processo cirúrgico.
Considerações Finais:
as representações refletem o medo e a esperança perante o procedimento e o desejo da retirada da doença, traduzindo, assim, a cura através da cirurgia.

Os dados foram analisados utilizando Microsoft Excel® e IRaMuTeQ.
Resultados:
o núcleo central da representação é formado por medo, cura, esperança e retira a doença. A análise das entrevistas originou seis classes, evidenciando as modificações sociais provocadas pelo tratamento, além da necessidade da rede de apoio para lidar com o processo cirúrgico.
Considerações Finais:
as representações refletem o medo e a esperança perante o procedimento e o desejo da retirada da doença, traduzindo, assim, a cura através da cirurgia.

Objetivos:
Identificar na literatura científica a prevalência, os meios de diagnósticos e variáveis de exposição da Infecção Latente pelo Mycobacterium Tuberculosis em trabalhadores da saúde.
Métodos:
Revisão integrativa da literatura científica a partir da seguinte pergunta de revisão: Quais as evidências científicas disponíveis na literatura que abordam a prevalência da infecção latente pelo Mycobacterium Tuberculosis em trabalhadores da saúde e sua associação com possíveis fatores de risco entre estes trabalhadores?
Resultados:
Ser médico ou enfermeiro, ter idade mais avançada e ser do sexo masculino, em geral, está associado a maiores prevalências. O estudo mostrou também que, os ensaios de liberação de interferon gama, foram mais utilizados como meio diagnóstico quando comparados aos testes cutâneos.
Considerações Finais:
São necessários mais estudos em relação à epidemiologia da Infecção Latente pelo Mycobacterium Tuberculosis no contexto dos trabalhadores da saúde visando ações de maior impacto contribuindo para redução da Tuberculose no mundo.

Objetivos:

Objetivos:
identificar quais foram as estratégias presentes na literatura para ampliação da cobertura vacinal em crianças no Brasil. Se justifica principalmente pelo cenário atual de queda de coberturas vacinais.
Métodos:
revisão sistemática de literatura. A busca foi realizada nas bases de dados Pubmed (MEDLINE), Embase e Scopus, seguindo as diretrizes PRISMA.
Resultados:
inicialmente, retornaram 4.824 resultados. Ao final, foram incluídos 6 estudos para síntese narrativa por meio da metodologia SWiM. Destes, 50% abordaram estudos relacionados ao Programa Bolsa Família (PBF). Os demais exploraram estratégias de abordagem direta aos pais, Monitoramento Rápido de Vacinação (MRV) e Programa de Agentes Comunitários de Saúde (PACS). O PBF não garantiu o cumprimento da condicionalidade de manter a vacinação em dia. O MRV e PACS são estratégias eficazes, especialmente porque permitem a busca ativa de faltosos.
Conclusões:
conclui-se que são necessárias mais publicações sobre estratégias para aumentar a cobertura vacinal em crianças no Brasil.
