Objective:
to report an experience using the Team-Based Learning methodology for the development of a standard model for Birth Plans by health professionals.
Methods:
experience report on the use of Team-Based Learning to develop care technology, with the participation of 120 professionals from two municipalities located in the Midwest Region.
Results:
the use of Team-Based Learning in this experience enabled the construction of a Child Delivery Plan model based on the theoretical approach to the theme, a critical reflection exercise, an in-depth discussion, decision-making, after what a consensus was reached. The methodology enabled the (co) construction of knowledge in small groups, teamwork, accountability, and satisfaction among the participants.
Final Considerations:
the use of the TeamBased Learning methodology proved to be effective as a discussion strategy, building consensus and syntheses for the elaboration of a care technology aimed at the pregnancy-parturition period.

Objectives:
to identify the socio-emotional competencies in teachers who work in a Nursing technical course.
Method:
qualitative study in the action research modality. Inclusion criteria: being a teacher in a Nursing technical course. Data collection: December 2018 to June 2019, with the realization of five focus group meetings. Data analyzed using the Content Analysis technique, according to Bardin.
Results:
data classification into two categories: 1) Teacher socio-emotional competencies in a conceptual and experiential perspective; 2) Teacher socio-emotional competencies in a conscious perspective of lived experiences.
Final Considerations:
five socio-emotional competencies were listed for teaching practice: self-control, creativity, empathy, respect, and knowing how to listen. There was a strong awareness of the theme among teachers, impacting their teaching practice.

Objectives:
to build and validate educational self-care technology for informal caregivers.
Methods:
methodological study, anchored in the Delphi technique, carried out in a municipality in the state of Paraná, Brazil, between September 2018 and November 2019. It was developed in three stages: situational diagnosis; elaboration of educational technology; content and appearance validation by expert judges and informal caregivers, using the content validity index and coefficient of variation.
Results:
after the steps of the methodological process, an educational technology called “Taking Care of Those Who Care” was produced, as an information tool that deals with the self-care of informal caregivers, receiving a content validity index above 0.86 and a variation coefficient. below 20% on all items.
Conclusions:
the educational technology was built and evaluated with satisfactory rates by the specialists and target audience, showing a high correlation of agreement, characterizing it as adequate and informative to informal caregivers.

Objectives:
to evaluate the effect of a training program on the administration of intravenous drugs in pediatric patients on the observed and self-reported behavior of the nursing team.
Methods:
evaluation study carried out with 38 professionals during three phases: Assessment of the behavior observed in the actions performed before training; Training implementation; and Assessment of observed and self-reported behaviors (immediately and six months after training).
Results:
in the observed behavior, there was an improvement in six (6/12) hand hygiene actions; five (5/14) pertaining to environment Organization, selection, and preparation of materials; and in seven (7/10) referring to the Orientation of the procedure, administration and monitoring of the patient’s reactions. In self-reported behavior, there was an improvement in two (2/8) actions.
Conclusions:
the training resulted in an improvement in the actions of nursing professionals related to the administration of intravenous medications, both in observed and in self-reported behavior.

Objectives:
to discuss the curricular reforms adopted for nursing teaching in Brazil, from 1969 to 2019.
Methods:
historical, qualitative approach using the thematic oral history and document research. 13 interviews were carried out with graduation nursing professors from a federal university in the South of Brazil. The document sources were the political-pedagogical projects of the course and their associated documents. Minayo’s thematic analysis was used.
Results:
nursing curricula delineates the profile of the professional that must be formed and are reviewed in order to be adapted to social and educational changes, showing the scientific and professional potential of the nurse. Curricular reforms consider the quality of nursing formation.
Final Considerations:
the structure of the curriculum and the reforms that took place emerged according to the historical, political, epidemiological and social context demanded from the profession, to attend to the demands of society and to the work market.

Objectives:
to understand the meaning of aging for caregivers of senile elderly people.
Methods:
qualitative study carried out with 12 caregivers of elderly people registered in the Home Care Service, adopting the Explanatory Model of Kleinman’s Disease as a theoretical framework. Data were collected from April to June 2019, through semi-structured, audio-recorded interviews, carried out at home and submitted to content analysis.
Results:
taking care of senile elderly people triggers reflections on aging that sometimes lead to a new meaning of this process, besides stimulating the recognition of the factors that influence it, with emphasis on the life history, occupation and deleterious behaviors adopted throughout life.
Final Considerations:
the care experience influences the meaning attributed to aging, favoring: the identification of modifiable and non-modifiable aspects and behaviors that make it healthy; reflection on aging itself, with a new meaning of habits and behaviors to be adopted.

Objectives:
to analyze the correspondence between nurse and dental surgeon assessments in the application of an Oral Health Assessment in dental screening of elderly hospitalized patients.
Methods:
cross-sectional study with elderly patients (n = 54) admitted to University Hospital from the Federal University of São Paulo. Data were collected through the assessment of oral cavity. Descriptive statistical techniques were used to analyze them, using tables and graphs.
Results:
there was correlation and agreement between nurse and dental surgeon assessments referring to application of an Oral Health Assessment in dental screening of hospitalized elderly.
Conclusions:
oral Health Assessment in dental screening for hospitalized elderly by nurses demonstrated excellent reproducibility and may be a resource to identify buccal alteration, helping the planning and execution of nurse care associated to oral health.

Objectives:
to assess the quality of life of master’s and doctoral students in health.
Methods:
this is a cross-sectional study carried out with 503 master’s and doctoral students from the Brazilian Center-West, using the WHOQOL-BREF to analyze their quality of life. Analysis included Cronbach’s alpha coefficient, confirmatory factor analysis and bivariate and multivariate analyzes.
Results:
older age and having a child were associated with higher average quality of life scores, while diagnosis of anxiety/depression, difficulty in managing academic and personal activities and thinking about dropping out of course were associated with lower average scores in quality of life domains (p <0.05).
Conclusions:
master’s and doctoral students have reduced quality of life during the entire training period, mainly in psychological and physical health. The management of academic activities and dropping out of course are the main variables associated with decreased students’ quality of life.

Objetivos:
compreender as histórias de vida e o itinerário de travestis e transexuais nos serviços de saúde.
Métodos:
estudo de abordagem qualitativa, ancorada no referencial metodológico da História Oral. Foram realizadas entrevistas, sendo tematicamente analisadas.
Resultados:
emergiram dois temas: 1) gênero e sexualidade nas histórias de vida; e 2) as trajetórias nos serviços de saúde. Estes revelaram os desafios no processo de reconhecimento da identidade de gênero perante a família e sociedade. Os relatos mostram os dilemas que transexuais e travestis enfrentam no atendimento à saúde, o que acaba por gerar o afastamento dessa população dos serviços.
Considerações Finais:
demonstrou-se que a História Oral pode ampliar o conhecimento, especialmente, sobre as histórias de vida e trajetórias nos serviços de saúde de travestis e transexuais; além disso, foram oferecidas informações que podem auxiliar gestores e profissionais de saúde na tomada de decisão ou no cuidado em relação a essas pessoas.

Objectives:
to describe the scientific evidence on the use of auriculotherapy to reduce chronic musculoskeletal pain in adults and the elderly.
Methods:
integrative literature review conducted in the Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences, SciVerse Scopus and MEDLINE databases (via National Library of Medicine), in March 2019, with no time frame.
Results:
14 original scientific articles were analyzed, 64.3% of which were classified with level of evidence 2. All productions show the benefit of auriculotherapy in reducing chronic musculoskeletal pain, especially in the lumbar spine (42.9%). The treatment was developed in one or more sessions, using semi-permanent needles (42.9%) and electro-auriculotherapy (21.4%).
Conclusions:
auriculotherapy was effective in reducing chronic musculoskeletal pain, showing itself as an alternative to be used for the promotion and recovery of individuals’ health.

Objective:
To understand how the nursing staff perceives the care provided to people in situations of psychiatric urgencies and emergencies in the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU – Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência).
Method:
Descriptive and qualitative study conducted in the Northeast region of Brazil with 34 of the SAMU nursing workers. Data were obtained by semi-structured interviews and processed by the Thematic Analysis.
Results:
The analysis of interviews allowed the identification of three categories: mechanical practice, need for qualification and (de)humanization of care. The results showed that the care offered to users in psychiatric urgency or emergency situations is based on mechanistic and specific actions.
Final considerations:
Nursing workers perceive that the care for people in situations of psychiatric urgency and emergency in SAMU is mainly based on physical and chemical containment measures, performing a little resolute and dehumanized care and raising the need for professional qualification.

Objetivos:
identificar as dimensões dominantes da liderança autêntica dos enfermeiros em uma rede hospitalar privada e correlacionar com a satisfação no trabalho e com o modelo de acreditação.
Métodos:
estudo transversal, analítico, realizado em 11 hospitais, com 282 enfermeiros, sendo 94 líderes e 188 liderados, que responderam aos questionários Authentic Leardership Questionnaire, Questionário de Liderança Autêntica e o Job Satisfaction Survey, Pesquisa de Satisfação no trabalho.
Resultados:
houve diferença significante entre a avaliação dos líderes e liderados, em todas as dimensões do Authentic Leardership Questionnaire. Em relação à associação da liderança autêntica com a satisfação do trabalho, para os liderados foi encontrada uma correlação significativamente positiva, sendo considerada moderada. Nos hospitais, com o modelo Joint Commission International, os líderes foram percebidos por seus liderados com maior transparência.
Conclusões:
foi encontrado correlação entre a liderança autêntica com a satisfação no trabalho e o modelo de acreditação entre os liderados.

Objective:
To analyze Brazilian and international scientific publications about the stress experienced by health professionals in the hospital context during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods:
Integrative literature review carried out on the SciELO, ScienceDirect, and LILACS databases, and sources of official Brazilian institutions, with documents published by May 2020.
Results:
Of the 26 selected references, 19 (73.08%) were indexed articles, and 7 (26.92 %) were obtained from official institutions. The study found that stress is mainly due to the overload of hospital services, the removal of professionals, the insufficiency of personal protective equipment and strict biosecurity measures, challenges in the allocation of available resources, and the risk of contamination by COVID-19.
Final considerations:
The stress experienced by health professionals in hospital institutions during the pandemic can trigger occupational and psychological problems.

Objective:
To verify the effectiveness of the group brief intervention (GBI), performed by nurses in motivational stages to change the pattern of alcohol intake.
Method:
Randomized controlled trial with 3-month follow-up. The ruler of readiness for change was applied in 180 individuals with risk or harmful alcohol intake pattern in basic health unit. Only the experimental group (EG) was submitted to the intervention. Both groups (experimental and control [CG]) participated in the follow-up.
Results:
EG had a mean score before GBI=6.55 (SD=3.41) points (preparation). After GBI=8.00 (SD=2.88) points (action) and in the follow-up 7.92 (SD=3.06) points (action). CG presented a mean score before GBI=5.42 (SD=3.26) points (preparation); after GBI=6.67 (SD=3.05) points (preparation) and in the follow up had a mean score of 4.80 (SD=2.86) points (contemplation). There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups at the motivational stages (p≤ 0,03).
Conclusion:
It was evidenced that GBI was effective in increasing the motivation to change harmful alcohol intake.

Objectives:
to characterize publications about palliative care and communication, with an emphasis on the approaches addressed, disseminated in online journals.
Methods:
it is a scope review, in which the mnemonic strategy Problem, Concept and Context was used, based on database research. The sample consisted of 86 publications.
Results:
most publications were written in the English language, published in the journal BMC Palliative Care, and with level of evidence IV. As for the approaches approached, the following stand out: Importance of communication in palliative care; Breaking the bad news in palliative care; Training professionals/staff to communicate in palliative care; and Communication strategies in palliative care.
Final Considerations:
the review made it possible to map a significant number of publications on palliative care and communication. It is recommended to produce new studies with better scientific evidence that guide the assistance of health professionals.

Objective:
Analyze available evidence related to SARS-CoV-2 infection and vertical transmission.
Methods:
Scoping review, according to the Joanna Briggs Institute and PRISMA-ScR. Searches were conducted in five electronic databases to find publications about coronavirus infection and vertical transmission. Data were extracted, analyzed and synthesized by three independent researchers using a descriptive approach.
Results:
The search resulted in 76 publications. After selective steps, 15 articles – retrospective descriptive or case studies – were analyzed, all in English. In order to track the infection, specimens were collected from neonates through nasal swabs and C-reactive protein from breast milk, cord blood, amniotic fluid, placenta and vaginal secretion was analyzed. A small percentage of neonates tested positive for COVID-19, but these cases were not attributed to vertical transmission.
Conclusion:
Vertical transmission could not be demonstrated. Research protocol registered with the Open Science Framework (https://osf.io/fawmv).
