Objectives:
to understand nurses’ experience regarding patient safety in mobile pre-hospital care.
Method:
a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive study, conducted with nurses active in mobile pre-hospital care services. Semi-structured interviews were conducted, audio-graved and submitted to Bardin’s content analysis.
Results:
from four thematic categories established, nurses reported the care and management skills necessary to work in this service. They demonstrated a commitment to ensuring safe care for patients, staff and spectators. They highlighted the actions taken to prevent and mitigate incidents. However, they based their experiences on practice protocols and individual actions, expressing the need to improve knowledge about patient safety.
Final Considerations:
mobile pre-hospital care nurses’ experience in relation to patient safety was limited, suggesting the need for training on the subject, alignment of work processes and implementation of strategies, aiming to guarantee safe care.

Objectives:
to compare the knowledge and attitudes of nursing students regarding sexual behavior and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in older adults before and after an educational intervention.
Methods:
this quasi-experimental study involved a convenience sample of 45 nursing students from a public university, conducted in three stages: pre-intervention, intervention, and post-intervention. A questionnaire was used to assess sociodemographic characteristics, academic training, and knowledge and attitudes on the topic. The intervention was an educational web conference. Paired t-test and Wilcoxon test were used for data analysis.
Results:
there was a statistically significant difference in the knowledge and attitude scores of nursing students before and after the educational intervention (p < 0.001). A significant increase was observed in the knowledge score (from 9.3 to 12.2) and attitude score (from 108 to 117.2) in the post-intervention phase.
Conclusions:
the knowledge of nursing students regarding the sexuality of older adults increased after the educational intervention, and their attitudes on the subject became more positive.

Objective:
Identify the theoretical concepts that have been used in the context of nursing care for hospitalized children.
Methods:
Scoping review was carried out according to the PRISMA-ScR methodology. The research limitations included: primary studies dealing with the use of theoretical concepts of nursing in the provision of care to hospitalized children, access in full text, in Portuguese or English and published between 2000 and 2019. Research was carried out on grassroots platforms (EBSCOhost, PubMed, SciELO and Web of Science), gray literature and in the bibliography of selected articles.
Results:
21 studies were found and 10 theoretical conceptions of nursing were identified, with family-centered care being the most used.
Final considerations:
The variability of the identified theoretical conceptions is emphasized, with no evidence to support the use of one in detriment of the other. A more integrative theoretical conception, which adds care centered both on the family and the child, emerges as a research trend.

Objectives:
to reflect on the principle of equity from the perspective of social justice and its applicability in the dimensions of the nursing work process.
Methods:
theoretical essay on the challenges for the practice with equity in the dimensions of the Nursing work process: teaching, care, research, political participation and administration.
Results:
the principle of equity should: in education be transversal in the training of future professionals; in assistance to occur without privilege or discrimination, treating the unequal unequally and the equals equally; in research be the target in the creation of new knowledge; in political participation to count on the contribution of social movements; and in the administration to count on the creation of specific executable policies.
Final Considerations:
there are still inequalities in access to services by part of the Brazilian population. Nursing should promote in its work process the implementation of equity promotion policies with a view to social justice.

Objective:
To analyze the implementation of a nursing care protocol for trauma patients before, during and after the flight.
Method:
A cross-sectional quantitative study carried out in an aeromedical service, using a checklist with 106 care: 79 before flight, 25 during, and 2 after flight. 97 patients were included in the study.
Results:
Most care (n = 59; 55.7%) was implemented, totaling 4,435, 1,480 and 192 cares performed before, during and after the flight, respectively. They stood out as unrealized care: protect ears with ear muffler (n = 55) and avoid leaving the pulse oximeter exposed to the sun’s rays (n = 22). The main reason for the non-performance was lack of appeal (n = 94).
Conclusion:
Although most protocol care has been implemented, unrealized care compromises the quality of care, which requires the management of the service to provide more incentive to nurses and adequate resources for its implementation.

Objectives:
to know the therapeutic itinerary and to show the implications of breast cancer for women in a border town in southern Brazil.
Methods:
a qualitative research conducted based on the complexity paradigm, through interviews with 13 women with breast cancer undergoing outpatient treatment and data analyzed by thematic analysis.
Results:
the first signs and symptoms of breast cancer were noticed unexpectedly, in everyday moments and during routine visits. There was family support in the search for assistance in primary care services, but organizational barriers led this itinerary to private health services, including Paraguay. Coping with the disease and treatment was anchored in the family subsystem.
Final Considerations:
the paths for breast cancer diagnosis and treatment included families, primary care services and private health services, including from the neighboring country, considering the vulnerability of border regions to guarantee health care.
