Objectives:
to analyze the relationship between perceptions, abuse and religion with the psycho-emotional impact on nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods:
descriptive-analytical cross-sectional study. It took place between 2020 and 2021 and a total of 319 clinical nurses in Peru were interviewed using the DASS-21. Associations were assessed using Spearman’s Rho and multiple regression.
Results:
18.5% had some degree of stress; 50.2%, anxiety and 29.1%, depression. Experience of abuse, self-perception of mental health and religion were predictors of stress, anxiety and depression. The length of work experience predicts stress and anxiety. In addition, self-perception of information and gender were predictors of depression.
Conclusions:
peruvian nurses have high levels of stress, anxiety and depression, and this psycho-emotional impact was associated with perceptions, experiences of abuse and religion.

Objective:
To analyze the suffering and coping strategies of nurses working in Primary Health Care considering the psychodynamics of their work.
Methods:
Descriptive study with a qualitative approach, carried out with 11 nurses working in Primary Health Care. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, systematized, and interpreted using Bardin’s content analysis method applied to recurrent themes.
Results:
The suffering factors related to work in Primary Health Care are difficulties with management, the fragile structure of the health support network, and conflicts with the users. Defensive strategies to minimize these difficulties are the support of hierarchical superiors, the empowerment of the community and users, and communication between team members.
Final considerations:
It is important that there be changes in the organization of this line of work to improve the workers’ health.

Objectives:
to identify the available evidence regarding stress levels experienced by participants in education based on a realistic simulation.
Methods:
systematic review that included randomized clinic trials on electronic databases: Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Cochrane Library, Latin-American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences, LIVIVO, PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science. The additional search was performed on Google Scholar and OpenGrey. All searches occurred on September 24, 2020. The methodologic quality of the results was evaluated by the Cochrane Collaboration Risk of Bias Tool.
Results:
eighteen studies were included, which evaluated the participants’ stress using physiologic, self-reported measures, or the combination of both. Stress as experienced in a high level in simulated scenarios.
Conclusions:
evidence of the study included in this systematic review suggest that stress is experienced in a high level in simulated scenarios.

Objective:
To analyze potential triggers of moral suffering experiences of health professionals, reported in the media, during the COVID-19 pandemic and to propose a theoretical construct of analysis.
Methods:
Study with qualitative approach whose data source were 50 reports published online, collected passively and actively, submitted to Content Analysis with the help of ATLAS.ti software.
Results:
The potential moral problems that trigger moral suffering are related to the threat to moral integrity, infrastructure/logistics and teamwork problems, and emotional aspects, revealing their articulation with damage to the foundations of a healthy work environment, which generated the proposal of a construct.
Final considerations:
The articulation between the experiences of moral suffering and the commitment of the fundamentals of a healthy work environment has brought important contributions to the adoption of strategies to protect and stimulate moral deliberation by professionals in favor of practice and society.

Objective:
to cross-culturally adapt the Student Nurse Stress Index to the Brazilian context.
Method:
this is a methodological study of translation and cross-cultural adaptation. We used a sample of specialists (n = 3) and nursing students (n = 40). Socioeconomic and academic questionnaires were used for data collection, assessment and the translated instrument (SNSI-Brazil).
Results:
most students were female (90.0%), single (87.5%), unemployed (80.0%), they studied on average 11 hours per week, slept 6 hours per day; and rated the face and the content of the instrument as very good, agreeing substantially (kappa = 0.74 and p-value < 0.01). The judges showed regular agreement in their assessments, and the SNSI-Brazil showed a good internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.80).
Conclusion:
The SNSI-Brazil was validated for face and content, has a good internal consistency if compared to versions used in other countries.

Objectives:
to identify the applicability of the Phil Barker’s Tidal Model in mental health nursing care.
Methods:
an integrative literature review carried out by LILACS, MEDLINE, Scopus and Web of Science. Data were collected from December 2017 to March 2018. After selecting the studies, the sample totaled 24 articles.
Results:
the articles are in English (91.7%), were published in nursing journals (87.5%), are reflective and/or theoretical (50%) and have level of evidence VII (79.2%). The model brings contributions to nursing science, enabling person-centered care, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary work, nurses’ protagonism and the empowerment of subjects in mental suffering.
Final considerations:
the use of the Tidal Model enables changes in nurses practice working in the context of mental health. Its application by nurses who work in mental health services in Brazil is recommended.
