Objectives:
To analyze and reflect on the potential applicability of the contribution of the physical resilience conceptual model of Whitson et al. in the care for older adults.
Method:
The present article of reflection was structured based on the consultation of articles and definition of inherent concepts, with analysis and reason of the potentialities of its application in geriatric nursing care.
Results:
Physical resilience is influenced by diverse stimuli. The identification of stressors and early intervention enable the delay of the functional capacity decline. In practice, the planning of interventions that depend on the innate capacity of older adults is of utmost importance.
Conclusion:
The trajectory outlined over a debilitating event is relevant to understand the factors that contribute to the development of frailty or pre-frailty conditions. This knowledge allows nurses to adjust their practice and contribute to the effectiveness of interventions and a better prevention of the frailty syndrome.

Objective:
to reflect on the medicalization process of childbirth and birth and its consequences based on a Brazilian audiovisual media artifact.
Method:
reflective and interpretive analysis of the documentary O Renascimento do Parto (The Rebirth of Childbirth) based on Critical Discourse Analysis.
Results:
c-section emerges as an alternative to adverse conditions of pregnancy. However, it has become a routine and abusive practice of a medicalized obstetric care, thus becoming a social problem. In order to the incidence of c-sections decrease, women's protagonism must be restored, in addition to considering psychological, affective, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and contextual aspects in childbirth.
Conclusion:
childbirth is established as a material element and a mental phenomenon of social practices. We must interrupt the predominant model, allowing the body to express itself through the release of oxytocin, and decrease the segregation that c-section causes, thus enabling affective bonds.

Objective:
To present a reflection on the forms of violence in health care settings and on preventive actions.
Method:
This is a theoretical reflection about the phenomenon of violence and its possible coping actions.
Results:
Nurses and other professionals working in health care environments may experience situations of aggression and disrespect through institutional or managerial violence, horizontal violence and patient violence.
Final considerations:
Violent practices are not applicable in any workplace, especially in care settings. Actions or measures of control should be taken in pursuit of healthier environments and in harmony with the culture of peace.

Inequalities are the result of the different positions held by individuals in different social spaces, and are related to the distribution of power and property. Health advocacy is a strategy to reduce such inequalities, especially those considered unfair and unnecessary, aiming to fully promote the right to health. This study aims to discuss the contribution of nursing in the field of health advocacy, which includes the right of everyone to a healthy life as one of the strategies for the reorientation of the Brazilian healthcare model.

Objective:
to promote thinking on the work of nurses in Primary Health Care (PHC) and the necessary aspects for the (re)construction of this professional practice, reinforcing its role in the care of individuals, families and communities.
Method:
to apply the questions raised in the process of organizing a book, the literature and the PHS work experience of the authors.
Results:
Conflicts, dilemmas and relevant aspects of the practice of nurses in PHC are presented, contributing to critical thinking about the context of work and the need to articulate the category in the construction of its workspace.
Final considerations:
the practice of nurses in PHC is broad and a process of qualification field, whether performing in clinical, educational or managerial activities, and nurses need to be familiar with these contents in their daily work, seeking to articulate their class entities for the development of this specialty.

Objective:
To discuss the phase of reinterpretation of objective reality of the Theory of Praxis Intervention of Nursing in Collective Health (Tipesc), in search of the praxis that it promotes.
Method:
Analysis of interventions in projects that are based on Tipesc and its results, since the 1990s.
Results:
Developed and implemented projects show that praxis is the way to achieve the aimed changes.
Conclusion:
We concluded that Tipesc is currently the explanatory and interventional theory, since it is grounded on its theoretical bases, which arise from philosophical bases of dialectical and historical materialism.

Objective:
Reflect on the role of advanced practice nursing (APN) in the context of Brazilian primary health care.
Method:
analysis of the main scientific productions and of the discussion on the implementation of APN.
Results:
there are favorable areas for the work of APN in primary health care, especially in the family health strategy. Professional master’s degree and nurse residency programs constitute powerful training spaces. As a challenge, standardized definition of the roles of advanced practice nurses and of minimum training for work are necessary.
Final considerations:
researches that contribute to understanding the perspectives, facilitators, and barriers for APN are necessary, as well as determining the population’s health needs and expectations concerning the role of these professionals.

Objective:
to reflect on the body of the nursing professor in the subjectivity discourse.
Method:
this is a reflective essay on the theoretical and practical reverberations of the nursing professor’s body based on the Deleuzoguattarian discourse.
Results:
in the theoretical framework, the body of the nursing professor was considered as a producer of subjectivities and understood without organs, surrounded by strengths, desires, and affections. In the practical framework, we discussed pedagogical strategies developed by professors, such as dramatic games, simulated scenes, presentation of the line of care and living portfolio, characterized by stimulating nursing students to value political, civic, creative, and supportive dimensions.
Conclusion:
based on the subjectivity discourses, the professor’s body was demystified as uniquely holder of knowledge, and all participants in the educational scenario were considered active protagonists of collective knowledge.
